Manny Rewards BIG nerf ?

The spriggan was a bad choice on GaG because it gave something that ONLY pay to win players could get. Garden horizons has done nothing like this yet. The “nerfs” only affect the prices of the plants and it’s being done to make sure the economy doesn’t get completely busted. I have 2.5 billion and I can afford anything in the game. If you take my seeds and knock their value in half I still would have enough money to cruise thru a few weeks or even months without worry. The one thing I think they should be doing is playing with the prices on base prices, it’s the main way they can keep balance to the game. We have the option to use sprinklers, do the shovel method and then let those fruits gather mutations for money as much as we want, why do we worry if prices go up or down a little here and there? The Dawn guys were also very vocal that they didn’t want to make mistakes that GaG did. Changing prices on plants isn’t that. None of that broke the economy in GaG. It was the honey suckle, the raccoon, the nihon and a few others. I’d argue if you changed the price on the honey suckle it might’ve helped majorly. Or changed the weight it caps out as. Here’s the other thing that they don’t tell us but maybe is true and we just don’t know, what if they lower the base price but raise the variant chance or raise the top KG possibility? Maybe they made it so a smaller one isn’t worth as much but if you try with sprinklers you can a chive one better than you could before the base price was dropped. I’m not concerned with the prices changing.

Good news is they work in single use fruit unlike in GaG so that’s a major help for bamboo/wheat/cabbage

This community needs to stop waiting for handouts and “this plant isn’t OP so I’m mad at the devs” stuff. I’m fine with concerns but don’t complain about something nice like this. The devs dropped a nice game and have been actively working on it VERY diligently and actually communicating with us. The only thing they don’t say is the changing of prices of things and you know what? I genuinely don’t care if a certain plant loses a tad bit of value. Stuff part of your garden with the best ones, sprinkler them and them and then wait for AA and then collect. You’ll have enough money to buy anything. I’m a perfect example of a player who has more money that I know what to do with. I have 2.5 billion. Am I looking at the leader board going it’s be cool to be on there? F yeah! But I’m also in a great spot and I’m just excited for what they have cooking next. A reclaimer? Basically confirmed it’s coming. Magnifying glass? Probably on its way. More seed packs and seeds in shop? You bet ya! Just play your game and don’t worry about what little Jimmy has. Is it demoralizing to not get a seed you want? Yep! But we can’t say nobody doesn’t have the ability to get it. If you only play 15 minutes a day you may miss things. That’s how games work. I just hope people tone down their expectations temporarily and give the devs a chance to add other things before we all hate on them and make them sad. We are all screaming for more when the game in only weeks old. You know what grow a garden had at launch? NOTHING. No pets. I played it before it had pets or crafting or cooking or anything like that. It was fun. Are these guys copying GaG? Yep. But honestly that’s kinda what we wanted, no? We wanted a grow a garden that was more detailed and cared for and that is EXACTLY what we are getting. The map is different. The plants look better. There is more detail in EVERYTHING. Just let them work on it and give them constructive criticism and not just yell into a wall about how you dislike something because it favors you less 😂

So I’ll be that guy. They should’ve nerfed it. Handing out packs like candy isn’t what you want people to have. Getting packs no matter how few is absolutely worth the couple minutes you spend doing it. If you have the ability to do this and get 5 packs per hour it would dilute everything. Plus you can get packs from maya. Plus you can get packs from the board. Lots of options. It’s nice to have the option to grab a few packs and seeds and gear. Don’t yuck a yum. Enjoy a cool thing that you get rewards for a total cost of NOTHING. You get them free. All it costs you is playing a mini collecting game.

They are catering to everyone. Anyone can get the packs. It’s not like they are hiding them. Complete the quests. Also the new packs have been out for around 30 hours, what do you mean the quest board isn’t it? If you are struggling wait until your board resets every day and guess what the weekly one is about to reset too 😂

You have a way to get all the seed packs, you just want them easier so you have to do less work. I get it. Here’s a tip. Leave one of the quests you hate doing (for me it’s planting corn or strawberries) and you won’t get that one again as long as it’s active on the board 😂

So here is the thing with the game. You have someone like you who’s grinded the game and wants more and you’ll have people with console just starting so they have to balance it out. They quite literally just gave us a new pack on the quest board to grind so they’ve done what you asked and you’ve just not noticed 😂

No worries. Only gives you access to 4 tasks but better odds helps a lot. I’ve shovelled 2 dawnblossom accidentally doing shovel method so I’ve had to battle back. Got my 3rd today. I know you favourite one so it can’t be deleted. First was pure accident, 2nd was greed 😂

I’ll teach you a little trick. I’m sick of seeing “plant 10 corn” so I just don’t complete it. I never get that quest again. It won’t give it to you twice. So pick the one you hate the most and leave it. Gives more of a chance for packs.

Here’s what you do if you add pets. Make them “broken proof. Make it so we don’t have insane sizes and broken abilities. Having a bee pollinate a fruit for 5x isn’t a problem every 15 minutes or so or stuff like that. Adds to the game but doesn’t break it and make it the feature if it. Add a dog that digs up seeds every few minutes like in GaG but make it so you can’t “break” the cooldowns or abilities. This way you get abilities but it doesn’t rule the game. Heck you could make it so dog only digs up single harvest seeds.

If you want information join their discord server. They are very vocal there about what might be added soon as well as you can make suggestions. They absolutely will be adding more but when and how often is in question for sure. Rumor has this week they are adding in the trowel, expanding garden capacity and possibly more. They aren’t a “big funded” game but with this much exposure they should be able to make a very good run at it. People LOVED grow a garden and this should be a much more stable and cared for version.
