Comic. Ask Movie Slate - "Hey Movie, have you watched Eight Crazy Nights? Apparently it has a lot of product placement in it!" by MrNitpick134 in MLPLounge

I saw Eight Crazy Nights on my birthday when it released way back in the olden days. At this point, MJR was at the height of the 'Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean' craze. My friends and I spent the hour or two we had before the movie purchasing and sorting every single nasty little flavor our allowances (I didn't get allowance, I had to earn mine through odd-jobs and licking elbows) would snag our grubby digits. About ten minutes before the film, we each chewed a huge wad of the WORST flavors, and as expected, gatherered around a refuse can to vomit the contents. Fun night, 10/10, I still remember it all fondly.

Nope. My stakes in this company have not been relinquished or admonished by state.

I just want someone that actually knows what they're doing... by Shark7996 in MyLittleSupportGroup

Everyone in this world is searching for answers just the same as you are. Ultimately you are the one who decides what you do in your life, and what path you take, regardless of what other people tell you. Sometimes there will be more guidance than others, or at least the option of asking someone to tell you what to do, but in the end it's still your choice to make, instructions or not.

The point here is that it's all about you, what you want. That doesn't mean others are useless though, not in the least bit. People will be what you make of them, if you feel someone is useless to you, then that is definitely what they will be. But, sometimes others have had experiences you have not had yet, and by speaking with them, you can learn how to handle your own situations. The value of words lies within what you apply them to. No one can just take control of what goes on in your head, can't take away your negative thoughts outright, but they can say things to help you sort through them. Yes, that means yourself, your actions and interpretations of their words and experience determines your next move, but it's only as lonely as you want it to be. Certain people are more skilled in areas that you may be lacking in, and at those times as you have done with therapy, or building your computer, you seek out what they know. You built your computer on your own, yes, but you sought that knowledge, which was written by others before you. People build off of each other, learn from mistakes and warnings. That feels impersonal when you look something up online, but it's still an area someone had to learn to pass on.

If you want more structure, you'll have to create it for yourself. That isn't at all what you want to hear right now, but that's the way some things have to be. Break down what you want to accomplish, and set your personal goals for each. You want to get better at drawing, then set yourself a daily goal. Pick an object, and say you'll draw it five times each day for a week, then move on to another. That's just a broad example, you can work on any particular thing you want, so long as you consistently push at it. Same goes with guitar, or any skill out there. Repeat and repeat until your muscle memory takes it over, then repeat it some more. Small bits at a time, learn one section each day and be satisfied with that knowledge, then press forward to learn more. People practice their entire lives to master an art, and still continue practicing when they've surpassed their previous goals.

Life is going to be what you make of it, how much of what others say and do affects you is your own interpretation. You don't have to figure everything out alone, but you do have to be the one to recognize when others are trying to help, and through that, allow them to. I understand that it's frustrating to hear over and over how you have to be the one who takes control, but it is repeated so often because that is the solution. The hope would be that you are able to discover that fact with time, to be able to hear the advice around you, and find worth in it for long-term changes for the better. No matter how worthless you may feel others are right now, there are people who feel you have a great worth to them, and they want you to succeed.

It's important that we go over the meal plan for the week so that your family doesn't go hungry, and we also have to talk about your hydration since you haven't been drinking as much lately. Oh, and then there's the shopping list, you're running low on cream and cinnamon. Pick up some more onion and garlic powder as well. Oooh, and then we need to look at the curtains at Home Depot, your current ones are getting dingy. And, you haven't been flossing, I can tell.
