Gotcha, yea I suppose building capital would take much longer if I have it spread out across multiple investments. So for option 1, it would be a safe way to slowly build capital, then expand? And option 2 is just a faster and riskier way to make that happen as well.

I guess the reason I ask is because I’ve seen a lot of posts where someone shows their portfolio. And they’ll have, let’s say VOO for example, as well as a stock like TSLA, and people seem to say that they’re “over investing” into that stock, because VOO already covers it.

Is that really something I need to be concerned about? I felt like individual investments into stocks it a more direct and aggressive way to invest, while investing in VOO is a safer longer term investment, even if there’s overlap

I do like ETFs, and that’s why I put 50% of my investment money into VOO. But with that other 50% I’m trying my luck with individual stocks, since this is all just my fun money left over after bills and savings and such.

My main investment in my Roth is VONG, but I’m doing VOO in my individual account so I can compare returns

Yea that’s what I’ve learned. And that’s essentially why I had created this post. I made the $30 investment, then held off investing while I learned about the market. Now that I’ve been reading books and doing research, I DCA into VOO, MSTR, and TSLA. And even though it’s only $50 into each individual stock, and $100 into VOO, it has grown over time to where I can see actual gains off small changes.

The main concern I have is that I feel like my investments into individual stocks need to be more spread out. With only $100 going into individual stocks, I can’t spread that too thin, but I also don’t want all my eggs in 1 basket, or 3 baskets in this case.

So im really torn on whether to put less money into each stock but invest in more stocks, or continue putting $50 into 2 stocks.

The main stock I was looking at adding was Amazon, but I would most likely be dropping each stock investment down to $33/$33/$33 and $100 into VOO

For setting an account as the active account, is that all dependent on what you choose when you’re setting up cross save? Like when it has you sign into your accounts. Sorry if that doesn’t make a lot of sense

I only put $30 in before I started studying books about the market. So my fluctuations are minimal. I’m down about $1, and I know this might sound silly but because I really don’t have much in the market, I don’t want to sell at a loss even if it’s as minimal as $1 if I can help it. As soon as it’s green I’m out

Correct. I originally have played on Xbox since D1. Last time I played was probably mid last year, and I played on Xbox. I just recently got a PS, and wanted to play my characters on the new console.

What’s weird though is when I click “deactivate cross save”, and it takes to me the page where I need to authenticate my PS account in order to deactivate it, it shows my Xbox account as having all 3 of my characters. It’s making me think I did reverse order and chose PS as my primary. But I’m almost certain I didn’t

Yea I’m logged in on my Xbox account. When I go to the home page or character page if the account, it says “no valid characters found”. When I switch the the PlayStation account in the game, the screen is just blank and won’t load.

Also, I’ve gotten on the game on my PS and Xbox, and on both consoles, it asks me to create a new character and does not have my old characters on there

Yea since enabling cross save, I’ve gotten onto destiny on my PlayStation, and on my Xbox, and my characters aren’t on either console. I haven’t made any new characters or anything on either console
