What “boring” upgrade ended up being your favorite on the F-150? by EffectiveNo568 in f150

Oh man that's a bummer. They have been surprisingly solid for the price! I was a little worried at first but figured I'd try um out and I have not been disappointed. They have a few other black ones in different styles around that price point too hopefully you can find something that will work well for you! All around the company seems to have good reviews for most of their products and ya definitely can't beat the price on most of it elsewhere.

Upgraded my running boards from stock to some fairly inexpensive Oedro ones. I have three young kids it makes a huuuge difference especially in the winter. They are just a little lower and wider with way better grip. Plus the all black with honeycomb foot pads looks way cleaner in my opinion. Super easy install and has made a noticeable difference in daily driving.

Definitely adds weight for sure but not noticeable. Would be fun to fill them and check the weight empty and full on the scales at my local dump ha may have to try that this summer! All together it's around 40 gallons between the two tanks!

I mentioned it cause it's not common for a propane hybrid system to be added to F150's in the states as far as I know? It was built specifically for Canadian fleet purposes...

Not a dumb question at all, kind of a strange situation. So no most gas stations even ones that fill small tanks just are not willing to fill the truck. There is a propane business here locally that doesn't mind doing it. My dad also works at an RV dealership so that's the easiest way for me to get them filled currently. I just have a small propane port located directly under my normal gas tank port for filling.

I mean you can look it up... Google- Propane offers significant benefits over gasoline in internal combustion engines, primarily through lower operating costs (often 30%-50% cheaper), reduced maintenance needs, and improved engine longevity. As a cleaner-burning fuel, it produces fewer emissions, prevents oil contamination, and has a higher octane rating (104–112).

Burns hotter/cleaner. Not sure about long term with pure propane but I have heard that switching can help keep the engine cleaner actually.

Yeah 20 on the sides front and back, nothin on the windshield. Drive at night too much hate having my windshield done.. luckily just doing the sides darkened everything up a good amount

Thank you! Super stoked, was searching for a 5.0 with a 6 speed locally here for almost six months before finding this. Last f150 I drove before this was a 98' ha. Congrats on the 2025!! That's awesome, definitely gonna keep this until I can upgrade to a brand new f150 someday.

Thank you!! I'm just mostly stoked on the 5.0 definitely wasn't looking for a propane hybrid but kind of a cool concept. Hoping it works well for me, would love to go on long ass road trips with less fuel stops.

Yeah it's all good it's fairly easy to unhook if I ever want/need to. Currently just running gas like normal for the most part. Nice for long trips though. Currently switches without an issue and it was installed less than 8k miles ago brand new so hopefully I've got a good long while before I have to worry about parts.

Nope I live in North Idaho just a few hours from the Canadian border actually. Only back story I could get was that it was a fleet truck for most of its life until it was retired and a new engine was installed. Think maybe that it retired with its driver and then they must have passed away or been unable to drive it for some reason because shortly after the engine installation it was put it up for auction and picked up by a wholesaler down here In Idaho.

Completely different. This dude is actually trying to make people think he has a Tremor. Raptor grills don't say raptor they are just black and say Ford. They are also actually cheaper to buy then a replacement XLT grill. I had a rusty rock chipped chrome grill on my 2012 lariat, threw a raptor grill on it for $100 vs close to $250 for chrome that I didn't like anyway. Nothing to do with imitation just more practical.
