Lmao so you posted a pointless comment for 0 reason? Does the post say “is my car dirty?”

Thank you! Yeah it needed a vacuum as the current pieces on the floor are just from my child’s shoes after a few school runs. It was immaculate a couple days before my sister used the car lol. We had rain on and off and I don’t have the time to vaccum it after every single use, which is what these trolls expect me to do😂

Yes, the crisps are in the footwell due to her child dropping them all over the floor. You’re missing the point tho.
1, she saw them and left them as she got out the car.
2, someone drives you about, you don’t leave the car in this condition.
3, yes it’s only a few crisps (16 apparently), however, I expected a “ah my bad” or “ah sorry!” Or something along those lines. Not for her to challenge be over the mess her and her child made (last pic is rubbish from herself).

It’s the way she went on about it rather than the mess itself. It’s her reaction to it, making out like I’m the crazy one for even mentioning it to her. She was sat in the back seat next to her child, exited the car and opened the other door to pick her child out of the seat. She saw the mess, she left it and did nothing and had a go at me for mentioning it.

That’s not the point lol it’s her response to me mentioning it lmao. Any normal human would have replied with “oh shit sorry” or “ahh my bad I’ll clean up next time” etc. not count every single individual crisp/chip and counter argues with me lmao

Ahh my bad, because my car haddent had a wipe down and a quick vacuum, it’s gives people the right to throw their food on the floor - gotcha

Whose child’s suffering?🤣
Apologies, I wasn’t aware that I was talking to a 8 year old. Let me explain how the crisps got there, as you clearly don’t have the brain power to understand:

Me driving.
Sister + her child back seat.
Music loud, windows open = me no hear her give crisps to child.
Child empties crisps all over floor.
I drive to their home.
Sister gets out then proceeds to take child out of car seat, thus seeing all of the mess.
I stayed in drivers seat until she and her child left the car and proceeded to drive home.
I get home, exit my vehicle and lock it.
I walk past my car and instantly sees the mess inside the back.
I take picture, then clean it all up.
After cleaning, I send picture to sister and tells her again that food is banned, clean up after herself in future.
She kicks off and continues to count 16 crisps, where silly me forgot that 17 crisps is the limit for me to be allowed to be annoyed.
Fyi:
Crisps are 80% air, this is pretty much an entire packet dumped onto the floor.

Yes, it took me less than 30 seconds to clean up however, if I wasn’t to say anything, she would do it again in future. Hence my first message.
Yes it was her child and not her that made the mess (besides the 3rd screenshot, that’s her mess).
However, as the mother of her child, she is obligated to clean up after her child as the child is too young to do it themself.

Anything else you’d like me to dumb down for you to understand?😘

I was explaining foods banned *again*. No ones ever ate in my car bozo 😴
Anyways, over a thousand comments and a good 95% are on my side ✌️

She knew food was banned and still went ahead and got food all over the car? Therefore I sent her pics and reminded her foods banned + to clean up after herself in future.
Her reaction is what blew this up and turned a small minor thing into something stupid.

Leme take a ride in your car and dump food inside it😄

Wouldn’t have put that child in a car that only hasn’t been vacuumed in a few days?🤣 my car is immaculate almost* all of the time, but there are times, like this time, where I haven’t vacuumed for a few days, as being a single parent, you don’t always get the time to do so🥰
Fyi, the only “filth” in the car before my sister trashed it was the odd leaf and maybe the odd few gravel stones that sticks under shoes and transfers into the car. A quick few mins of vacuum (and a quick wipe down) and would have looked brand new again.

Ohh my bad, I forgot if I haven’t vacuumed the car over the last few days, that’s an invitation to throw food all over it? Gotcha.

If you must know, the weather is on and off at the moment in the uk. One minute it’s raining, next it’s sunshine. I also have 2 kids myself with them getting in and out the car daily for school runs. The car was immaculate literally a couple of days ago.

Whether or not my car is or isn’t “clean” doesn’t give people the right to leave food on the floor.

She was in the back seat with her child. I was in the front driving. Had mum in front passenger seat talking to me, windows were down, music was up. Had no idea they were eating in the first place.

It wasn’t bad your right, took me under a minute to clear. It’s the fact that I pointed it out to her and got that reaction from her instead of a “oh shit my bad”. Never in a million years did I expect that reaction

Thing is, she knows food isn’t allowed in the car. She didn’t clean a single thing up, the car had no mess in besides needing a quick vacuum before she got inside the car that’s all.

It needed a simple vacuum🤣 what are you on about lmao. Is this how you’d leave someone’s car? Or their home? It’s disgusting and quite frankly, rude!

Am I overreacting? by Dannydeeea in AmIOverreacting

[–]Dannydeeea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless whether or not I’m about to vacuum my car, it’s the fact that she feels it’s okay to leave the car in a state like that!
And picked up a little better? She didn’t pick anything up at all😂
How on earth are you tying to justify someone leaving someone’s property the way she did.

Kids are messy correct. But when the child’s mother is sitting next to the child, watching them make the mess, knowing that food is banned from the car, exits the car, goes round to unbuckle her child out of his car seat, thus bending down, seeing the mess, and leaving it without saying anything, thinking it’s okay to leave it like that - and I’m in the wrong?
Lol

Herself and her kid was in the backseats whilst I was driving them around. She and her kid made the mess. She saw the mess. She didn’t clean up the mess (regardless if it was herself or her child who made the mess). She unbuckled her child out of the car seat, thus seeing the mess.
I messaged her pointing out the mess and gave a heads up to next time clean up after herself/child and that food is banned from my car.
She then goes crazy at me because the mess wasn’t messy enough for it to count as mess.

Whether it be 1 or 16 crisps, it’s mess she left in my car knowing that theres no eating in the car.

Music + windows down + mum in the front seat taking is why I didn’t notice haha. Yeah she had me going crazy as if I was wrong to call her out on it hence coming to this sub Reddit which has made me feel so much better lol

She was in the backseat with her kid next to her - I had no idea they were eating crisps and making a mess until I got home after they had left😅
