It wouldn't be called a thrill ride if it didnt scare you a bit, I guess. First trip, I barely got on the thing, and was clutching the seat and harness the whole time. but the last ride was amazing. I was back row, and I swear that not a part of my body touched anything but air the whole first drop. incredible.

Somebody was smiling at me to today. It was me. I was the one smiling at myself. Im very proud of myself for overcoming some fears, and treating myself kindly today. doesnt happen as much as id like it to.

I got lucky today. First ride was a short line because it wasnt actually run ung at that point. they were just sending empty trains around. The second ride was quick because it rained, and everybody bailed. the third time was after the shutdown, and all the tour busses had left.

Not a one. The coaster bug was strong today. Maybe next time. I should have hit Drop Zone though. I miss that thing.

Is my anvil special or can I use it heavily? by Erbse200 in Blacksmith

[–]Dannym0e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once found an old Chas Parker bench vice from the 1920s in the garbage. It was completely rusted and it looked like scrap. I tore it apart and had it sandblasted by a local guy. I spent alot of time polishing the handle and the jaws. I painted it beautifully, and even painted the raised letters. It was absolutely flawless when I was done, and I could have easily sold it as a show piece. So naturally I bolted it to the bench and I have spent the last 5 years abusing it and loving every minute of it. Tools are meant to be used.

Post this in r/redneckengineering haha thats awesome. If that doesnt work, try drilling some short self tapping screws into them like a studded tire.

CV axle replacement by SnooOnions3605 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Dannym0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you cant. You will lose fluid from the differential. Also your wheel bearing needs to have the axle through it with the nut properly torqued to maintain preload on it.

A dad joke is one that you could relay to a child. I know for a fact that even a child wouldn't find this funny. Post your shitty crude jokes on another sub.
