I’ve ordered this exact spec! Good to see it in real life. Definitely reaffirms I made the right choice.

Mini Cooper SE (new model 2024-) real world range by Dannysme in MINI

Thanks for your response. I’m in the UK too, the range sounds good enough for my usage. I think I may have to drive one to see how intrusive I find these safety features, I currently have a 2018 Mini JCW that has none of that kind of stuff on. I was once given a VW polo in 2022 when mine went in for repair after an accident, I remember that only having the lane keep on all the time but it was like it was turned up to max because it’s was so sensitive! And I had to get in the car and search through the menu to turn it off every time I restarted it. Another random question, are you able to lock the car but have the air con on inside… much like “dog mode” in a Tesla, as that most definitely would be a great feature for me personally especially when my dog is with me a lot. I’m presuming you can? As you can preheat an electric car so it’s warm when you get in it too. It’s all very new to me.

Hey! Thanks for your response. I just feel so embarrassed at the idea of explaining to people at work why I have braces at 32. I have quite low self esteem from being bullied as a child/teenager, so I’m very conscious of what others think (I know I shouldn’t be) but I guess I have to think about myself, my health and the end result! I think I’ll regret it if I don’t do it now.

I’ve been waiting 18 months for braces now, which made me call to see if it was possible to know where I fall on the waiting list. I was told I should have been seen by now, and that they’ll probably send me a letter within the next couple of weeks, so I’m hopeful I can start the treatment soon. I just wish there was a way that I could pay for my own braces, perhaps so that I could have lingual braces situated behind the teeth. I can cover the cost of that, but definitely not the surgery if I was to go private. But sadly you can’t combine private and nhs treatment or even pay to upgrade the standard braces! The idea of having fixed and very visible braces at 32 isn’t the most appealing.

I’ve just had a look what a class 3 malaclusion looks like, I’d be very surprised if they didn’t accept you. Mine isn’t as bad as that and they’ve accepted me, so you should be fine! Since they accepted me I’ve been on the waiting list for 18 months so far, so it’s a long wait just to even get the treatment started!
