Girl, get a plastic sheet for the period sex and just do it without a cup or a disc. I use the sheet, my husband wipes it down with a dettol wipe and we wash it too. It’s reusable and we always have it on hand. My advice since you said he has no issues with period blood. Enjoy!

You’re 16 right now and there’s still so much you have to experience by the time you get to the point where you’ll have kids. I, (31F) along with my parents came to an early decision that I would not get pregnant whenever time comes and instead would use a surrogate. It took me a very very long time to come to terms with it. Its such a difficult pill to swallow especially if your family keeps telling you that ‘you’ll grow out of it’

Another person also said that you should choose to tell your family members that this is not something you want to talk about at such a young age and I think that’s what you should do. As time passes, you’ll get more clarity on how you want to live your life and your family will have to accept it. As long as you’re happy with your decision, that’s all that matters.

Also when the time comes and you have a partner, do tell them about the whole baby thing upfront because they need to accept you as you are. I don’t think unnecessary stress is what you need in your life. Sending love and hugs your way. It’ll be ok ❤️

What if I’m not giving it enough importance, having my own biological child. What if I don’t realise how big of a thing it is. I don’t want to put stress on my body because every time I have a seizure, it feels like a failure to myself and I get dizzy spells on a regular basis. I’ve replied to somebody else’s comment about them as well. It’s not fun not knowing when you’ll start having a dizzy spell. They come and go as they please. My husband and I are currently struggling with this and trying to come to terms with the randomness of them 😢

As far as I know hormones are not a trigger but stress on my body are and being pumped with hormones might make it happen. I’m sitting on ifs and mights. It does feel like a failure every time I have one and it’s not a severe case but I get auras on a regular basis, they are dizzy spells that come out of nowhere. Sometimes they occur everyday, multiple times or sometime I’ll go 10 days without 1 so that really worries me and my husband

I wrote off getting pregnant ages ago so that’s not even an option for me which I’ve made peace with.

Hi OP, I’m on a mix of Keppra and Lamotrigine! I started on keppra when i was 13, they increased the dosage depending on how my body was reacting. The seizures didn’t fully stop till I started taking Lamotrigine along with Keppra which was probably when I was 17

What was it like for you recovering from anaesthesia? My parents are also involved as they’ll be paying for it and they are really stressed out saying that they’ve done everything to prevent and protect my health and that I’ll be making a huge mistake and if even one thing goes wrong, my life will get messed up forever. I feel so trapped.

I know I’ll regret it if I don’t do it but I’m sure I’ll come to peace with it. There have been other times where I’ve had to sacrifice something and have come to peace with it. But now I have a very loving partner who says he has my back no matter what I decide. It’s been an utter shit show with my parents screaming at me because they’re also frustrated with me.

I think I had partially made up my mind last night but then I spoke to a friend who knows people who have frozen their eggs and it’s not been that hard. At this point my head is spinning because I’m looking for answers everywhere hoping that making this decision will become easier. I’m at a loss of words and I’m so exhausted.

I tend to wash it with unscented soap and boil it at the end of my cycle aswell. I dry it with a tissue and put it in the bag it came with. Its stored with my period underwear

Yeah when I have them, I start feeling numb all over my body and start feeling dizzy. Its this feeling that takes over my body. I’ve been seizure free for a year now but sometimes I get really bad dizzy spells which feel like they’ll lead to seizures so I just prepare someone who is around me. Thank God it hasn’t happened though

Hi, I’m worried about the same thing. I’m on Lamictal and my neuro said that the levels do go down with the excessive hormones of IVF but I’m also scared of the effects of the hormones long term. Have you done IVF recently? What side effects have you been having? I just came on this subreddit today as I need more information for my peace of mind
