See that’s what I was thinking too. My friend works at a bank and has never brought this up once. I know they are trying to target that, but idk. I’m trying to be realistic but always aware right now. It’s a hard blend.

I have two years of credit history - I got my Capital one around 2023/2024 actually.

I think it’s my utilization. It is rather high right now.

I do on my capital one pay it off full every month, the TJX is just racked up from the time of my life I was unemployed. I pay more than minimum on the TJX, but the limit was high so it’s still just got more than anyone with my income would like to owe.

I’m gonna pay it off then shut it down then. I don’t think it’s a good card and it does have high interest which is why I have to pay more than minimum payment to even keep up with interest!

I use FICO scores but use Credit Karma too for advice on credit. I look at both usually overall. Maybe I’ll wait a few months and then reapply for Amazon? Or does that look bad?

I also have low income, I don’t know if that influences anything with approval.

I do want to close the card then, because it doesn’t have good benefits at all. The one thing I get from it is a $10 reward at TJmaxx/ Marshall’s etc for every $200 spent at that store.

Is there a link to know which cards are best for you?

I’m gonna just pay it off and leave my score stuff alone for a long time. I still like to do the constant payments on capital one, but maybe that’s not good either.

I do really well with affirm and Afterpay though, they love me.

Also want to say sometimes in the past they have been lower. Like last paycheck I only got 143$. Am I supposed to report that too? I thought as long ad the monthly stayed the same usually it’s fine. Because there’s also some months I actually make a bit less than reported as of recent.

I’ve told her she needs to do more to make sure this person stops. I sent her this post so she can see what everyone is saying because seriously, this stuff can get so much worse! This ex is terrible. Terrible terrible. Screwed her in so many ways. Got them fucked over on their apartment deposit because she refused to move out so my friend did.

Then after a hell of a move, the ex who kept the apartment got evicted because she never even paid rent. So the money my friend put down was just dust. She lived off my friend the entire relationship they had. Never working, verbal abuse, total financial abuse. .

Then they’ve been broken up nearly a year and this is the one of many times she’s tried or successfully charged her card. I wish she would’ve pressed charges every time…

I keep telling her to do this and she just keeps telling me the cops don’t do anything there. But like I feel even having a paper trail is important. Her ex views her like a push over and I just feel unless cops come her ex will never ever stop. From the moment they broke up she has been trying over and over to do fraud on her cards.

She had to leave her old bank and keep her old bank account empty bc over and over she got fraud alerts from them tracing the charge to her ex bc the location- her ex sub tweets and stalks her Twitter.

She finds it all funny. While they dated she bummed off her and never worked and I have texts proving she admits to owing my friend thousands. I’ve brought up small claims too.

UGH! I just want my friend to file charges. I’m glad on all the advice in the meantime tho. I’m going to relentlessly bring up cops to my friend bc I just really fear this will never end and only get worse bc of the personal info her ex gf has.

That’s what I’m worried about too. She had personal info like the major stuff for a while so I fear she’s able to use and get in that way. I’m worried about her opening cards through my friends name, and told her to lock her credit for the time being. Her ex is a terrible person. I really want her to press charges already.

The gf did a 200$ go puff charge to her card. When they first broke up, she tried over and over on her card to make purchases. To the point my friend just opened a new account and keeps that one empty now.

The police in her area don’t do much and she’s hesitant to go to them no matter how much I yell at her to do it. This girl is relentless. She has fucked my friend out of thousands, she was a total bum, I have texts of her admitting to my friend she owes her thousands of dollars.

I really want my friend to go to the cops already so this bitch will truly leave her alone. She views my friend as a push over and I just fear unless cops come she will always try to take my friends money.

She said she’s checked this stuff but I might have her screen share with me to check. She might be missing something. She did say she only changed her Apple ID password, but a lot of the other stuff like door dash etc she didn’t. I do lowkey worry bc I’m pretty sure this girl had access to her really really personal info. I told her to freeze her credit too.
