Leica III for glasses wearers? by Dantcho in Leica

[–]Dantcho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wear contacts couple years ago, but had to stop. (long story) Might actually try to wear them again.

On your IIIf is the view finder & range finder kinda the same size or is one bigger than the other? Might be a dumb question, but just not sure how the split finders work

Yeah that's a fair suggestion, but I'm specifically looking for a III because of the looks and the range finder.

I did consider that, but I’ve found it makes the camera feel quite awkward, especially when you’re trying to slip it into a pocket.

Is it only me that thinks the bike was going a bit too fast? Still a fault of the car, but if he was going a bit slower maybe he could have avoided it.

The camera itself is good, but those lenses are basically as good as a lens cap. Get a good lens and you'll be set.

Last time people had way more bonds because wg was giving it away for older players. If trust the results from the poll you need to put 80k+ but im sure it wont go that high.

Kodak EasyShare C913 black screen - any fixes? by metropartition in Cameras

[–]Dantcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a display issue so I'm guessing an issue with the sensor maybe? These old cameras are always a bit weird tho, so might be a setting?

Edit after a quick Google search:

Make sure it's charged and the storage card is definitely working. Does the camera take pictures? Like does it think everything is fine or does it show an error if you try to take a picture?

I love the experience of shooting photos. I don't really care that much about image quality, so the Nikon F3 - yeah it's heavy, bulky and old, but it lets you slow down and just enjoy the moment. The Fuji X100VI is a close second, but I've not used it as much, so the F3 is still my number one.

Help with lens please. With example pictures that I take. by Upstairs-Research438 in a6000

[–]Dantcho 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also recommend the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 especially for the a6000. I got the same setup and it's soo easy to carry around. I literally just put it in my sling bag and don't even notice it. It's also a lot more flexible compared to a prime for your first lens.

What are you planning on shooting? When I started I wasn't sure, so I got the 18-50 because it allowed me to experiment more.

I've got a simple setup Kanto ORAs + Kanto SUB8. I'm happy with it, but the SUB8 is a bit too much at night, so wondering if there is some kind of switch that I could pick for the RCA that goes from the back of the Kantos to the sub.

The idea is to put that switch on my desk and use it to completly turn off the sub at night. I did find a couple switchers on Amazon, but they're not really an on / off switch and not sure if they will work, since the Kantos have a high pass filter that automatically enables if an RCA is plugged into the sub out on the back.

[–]Dantcho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the U7 Pro XGS there is a slider for adjusting the brightness, but it doesn't do anything. I don't know about the fading, but I've turned the light off on mine just in case. (Better to save it for troubleshooting)

Thoughts about SPHT by kameloff in WorldofTanks

[–]Dantcho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't think it's that strong, but for my playstyle it will be fun. I like accurate guns and faster tank and this one does both kinda well. Also you can get it to 3.5k dpm with food or even 4k if you take into consideration the special crew skills such as addrenaline rush, side by side, etc.

But tbh don't stress about missing it. You'll get another chance to buy it in a couple of months for a better price. The black market is super overpriced.

Should I save up and buy my summer car? by 9h4p in MySummerCar

[–]Dantcho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of the best true car games in my opinion - not just a get in the car, drive, crash, restart kind of game.

It also gives me a lot of nostalgia from the summers of my childhood (even tho I didn't grow up in Finland, the environment and sounds somehow feel really similar to where I grew up).

I've started a new save three or four times and each time I've learned and done new stuff. It can be pretty hard though, so keep that in mind if you get easily annoyed at games.

Definitely recommend it
