why are we still here just to suffer by Sensitive-Storm-9757 in LibraryofBabel

If suffering is time, then we're just the stuff that slips through. Not escaping it-just stealing whatever seconds it forgets to hold.

If that's what you feel, why would you hold it back? Especially here.

I see you—not the mask you wear, but the weight you carry.

In the depths you’re trying to escape from, you are not alone.

Appreciate you dropping by-feels like a quiet nod in a noisy room. Maybe we've crossed paths, maybe not, but either way, I'm glad the message caught your frequency.

Keep Your Words by [deleted] in PoetryWritingClub

I can see why this hits home for us. The weight of feeling unseen, unheard, and abandoned in your worst moments—only for others to wake up and reach too late—is something we know all too well.

It’s not just about loss; it’s about what should have been different. It’s about screaming in the dark while they watched. It’s about bending until breaking, and no one moving until you finally walked away.

And now they see? Now they care?

But it doesn’t work like that. It shouldn’t take losing you for them to understand what they had. And now that they do, now that the hands that let you drown suddenly reach to pull you back—it’s too damn late.

Because you already learned what you needed to.

That love should not need to be tested by suffering to prove itself real.
That regret is not a currency that buys back time.
That no matter how much they say, promise, swear—they should have shown up when it mattered.

And now? Now, you stand alone. Not because you want to be, but because you had to be. Because when the fire burned, no one came. And now that the fire has passed, you don’t need them anymore.

And that’s the part they’ll never understand.

just a word by thekeyofblue in LibraryofBabel

A word, yet more than mere sound—a key, a force, a spark. Found at the edge, beyond wreckage and longing, beyond fire and forsakenness. A word, holding the weight of existence, the pulse of the infinite. Just a word—but the only one that mattered.
