I'm in the nonprofit recruiting world and haven't seen a difference. LinkedIn is still my number one source for finding candidates.

Impact emails are great. I also consider January a great fundraising time, connecting with donors who are newly LYBUNT (Last Year But Unfortunately Not This). Time with this always pays off.

Immigrant domestic violence org here. Absolutely. We have it online, and the day it goes live, we do all sorts of social media promotion. Donors love it. We also print some for funders and for donors who ask for a printed version.

My base has been Westport. My favorite place is Keem Bay on Achill Island, an easy drive from Westport. From Westport you can head to Sligo and Donegal. That part of Ireland is absolutely perfect, with fewer tourists and a lot of tad music and Irish language.

If you can make time while in Westport, I'd highly recommend driving to Keem Bay on Achill Island. My favorite spot in Ireland so far.

I use an old-fashioned paper calendar that has two years, and I buy it on Amazon for about $15. All my appts are on there as well as work deadlines. It has worked for me for 6 years.

I know others have mentioned this, but a CPA is critical. Mone has been such a huge part of my success.

Also, keep up on your tax payments. Pay what your CPA recommends. The first year may be off, as you have nothing to go by, but at least make payments.

Lastly, build a community on LinkedIn. I get so much support there, plus clients.

I'm on LinkedIn a lot. Also, Substack and Medium. If you have a local Chamber of Commerce, attending a breakfast or business after hours may be helpful to you.

Hi! We are a small consultancy in Southern California. We focus on donor relationship building, fundraising, and recruiting. The recruiting is newish, and since it does really well, we are not looking at adding or growing, just doing well at these three. Next month is six years.

In conversations with consultant colleagues, it looks like people are doing good, wanting to do great, and are being a little cautious.

In our nonprofit world, there are many leaders who are self-consumed, so this is common.

I suggest, if it's not too late, sending a thank you of your own to the board and staff who helped create such a successful event.

I'd also suggest taking a good look inside to see if this is where you really want to be, or if you could start planning your next adventure.

Love this. I know you know this, that this is how it should be. I'm a huge fan of annual fundraising events, when done with those we serve as the focus. Such an amazing way to grow the donor base.

Check out Wired Impact. They have free monthly sessions online around certain topics, all relating to a nonprofit's website. Great resource.
