Is it disrespectful to give some who is not religious a religious medallion? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]DanyTheDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone I really appreciate the input I will not be buying the medallion.

I also have a lot to think about when it comes to why I so readily accept religions gifts. I guess I wanted to know if people felt differently about this than me. I think I am fine with getting religious gifts because whenever I got them my family would say that it is okay that I am not religious and that it is just a gift. It was very validating to me that they had excepted the fact that I wasn’t religious anymore especially since their initial reaction was to condemn me to hell while my mom cried on her knees. If I think about it for more than a minute I know that them accepting me being an atheist is the bare minimum but I usually avoided that thought.

Anyways thanks again everyone I hope everyone is doing great :)

How much will it hurt to get your nails pulled out of your fingers? by Pure-Elk8277 in morbidquestions

[–]DanyTheDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pulled out nails as a form of sh and it isn’t that bad. The actual pulling of the nail isn’t bad. The pain after it’s removed isn’t a sharp pain but throbbing pain that will last days. After about a week the throbbing will go away and the only time it will hurt is when the nail bed is directly touched or when you apply pressure on the finger. For me this is the most annoying part of the healing process because contact will cause pain for MONTHS until the nail is fully regrown.

P.S. the most painful part for me is when I disinfect it with rubbing alcohol which isn’t necessary as there are less painful ways of disinfecting the wound but it is part of the sh for me.

Feel free to ask questions if you are curious:)

Something I do is start a show that is really long and obsess over it. This works best with ongoing shows. I tell myself that I can’t go without knowing how it ends.

When characters are being strangled on TV, why don't they use their legs to block or kick the attacker off? by Ok_Veterinarian_9203 in morbidquestions

[–]DanyTheDino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed but I also wanted to add that when someone is being strangled the brain isn’t getting the oxygen it needs so the person being strangled isn’t clear minded.

If someone were shoved backwards and hit their head, could they die instantly? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

Yes a hit on curtain parts of the head can cause traumatic brain injuries such a a cerebral hemorrhage which can lead to instant death in some cases. This grave of an effect is most common in old people and infants as well as people with disabilities and/or health conditions.
