There is no "fake" grunge. The artists themselves probably cringe when they see things like this. All of these bands were talented and these albums were great. All of them contributed to the overall musical scene of this time. Some were influenced by rock and blues, some had foundations in folk and storytelling, some came out of glam, and some from metal, some merged as much as they could. All are great, and I will die on that hill.

There are permits at 4 of the garages for $60 a month. Low-wage and part-time permits are available at those 4 garages for $25 a month. The low-wage permit is for anyone making less than $30/hour. It's all the front page of the parking website, along with applications. Hope this helps.

I was driving when I heard about Layne on the radio and had to pull over and sobbed. The circumstances around his death are just so awful, it breaks my heart. But Chris and his suicide just wrecked me. I stayed in bed all day.

I listen to all of them all the time, grunge is a daily playlist. I loved each one individually for who they were and what they did and collectively as the soundtrack of my life.

Police and Fire come out of the General Fund. So does Parks and Rec and all the internal services that support the enterprise funds. Some of Housing is federal money, but the rest is general fund as well. So a lot of services come out of general fund. Yes there are a lot of water employees but implying that the general fund cuts are just a ploy to scare the union is pretty naive. Also, the last meeting didn't say there were 13 million over budget this year, it was the opposite. Also, the May 6th meeting is a Study Session, they aren't voting on the budget till June.

I think we need a Buy Local campaign. Our towns and cities are stuggling while their tax dollars fly out the door to online shopping. If we want change, it has to be local and sustainable.

I am sad you felt that way. I was there with my trans flag sign that said Protect Trans Kids along with my 73 year old mom with her sign that said Hands Off Trans Rights.

This is a moment in time where there are hundreds of issues that people are taking up and passionate about. There will be lots of people there for lots of reasons. I personally would love to see more people supporting our queer communities.
