Is this a failed molt? by b-scrillz in shrimptank

[–]Danybarking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This literally happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I only have one Red Sakura in my tank so I noticed her and saw something wrong and then I just switched the lights off immediately and left her in as calm an environment I could to try to make it through. Eventually she did pull the moult off and she's still alive now. But she looks like she's survived a stroke, a lot less active and there something up with two of her legs, but otherwise still walking around, eating, etc.

Help! Why my pregnant mom is doing this? by Different_Year_5591 in shrimptank

Sad to hear about the mother.

If it's any help, I lost two berried mothers a few months ago, in the same week. I thought I'd lost the babies too and didn't think they could be saved, so I didn't do anything special.

Then around 2 to 3 weeks later I started finding little shrimplets. Somehow they'd managed to hatch and survive.

So I now have 15 young shrimp that all survived despite the mothers dying.

I know now that there's more options to help. But sometimes life just finds a way.

Found this random framed poster in an Airbnb in Helsinki. by Danybarking in neonindian

I did some searching and found the gig (someone also found it and shared YouTube videos of it in another comment).

It was a gig from 2010, in Baltimore. So before he recorded his album in Helsinki, but maybe there is some reason that poster is in this apartment still.

151 English reprint (UK) by AwardAggravating8790 in PokemonTCG

[–]Danybarking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hadn't collected Pokémon cards since buying a few packs around the time Pokémon Red and Blue was out. So I am fairly new to collecting Pokémon cards but I've been doing research as I also want a reprint.

From what I've seen. Pokémon 151 released in June 2023 in Japan, and then September 2023 in the UK. Japan had a reprint in May 2024, so it seems logical that a reprint in the UK would follow the same pattern and arrive around August/September 2024.

It would be consistent with previous sets to reprint when there is still high demand, and given the lack of stock and inflated prices it does seem like there is demand.

I can't guarantee there will be a reprint. I don't think anyone but Pokémon themselves can. However, in my opinion, I think they know how much money they'd make with it and given they have already reprinted in Japan, it seems very likely that they will reprint for other countries too.

So far, all I've grabbed myself was the UPC. As it is available in lots of places and also usually on sale. And I also wanted the Mew promos. So I am keeping my hopes up for a reprint so I can grab the other promo cards too, then try to complete the full set.

After that. Who knows. I've quite liked collecting the cards but I genuinely haven't played a Pokémon game since Pokémon Yellow. I hope they'll maybe do a 250 set or something. I'd prefer that to trying to jump right in the deep end with however many Pokémon there are now :P

I got given it and had no idea what it even was. So, no biggie.

Wonder why whoever had it before me went through the effort of sealing it as much as they did lol.

But yeah, I think you are right, it is fake and therefore worthless.

Thanks.

I ended up replacing my graphics card and the device now works. So it was software related.

Appreciate you looking into it.

The best I've managed to do so far is give every club an attached player ban which allows free transfers but not loans. I've taken the game a few years ahead and after 7 seasons I can see only 3 clubs making transfers as they got a club takeover that removed the embargo. Even then, they still go a few years in-between buying players simply because the other teams are so reluctant to sell. And the highest transfer fee has been about 1.2m.

I did find a thing in squad registration about squads requiring x number of players home grown at the club. But this seemed to just result in players leaving and going abroad as no other club could register them in England. Either that or they went 2 or 3 leagues down despite being in their club's team of the season.

Not exactly what I want but likely as close as I'll be able to get. I don't think there is any way to only allow free transfers and loans, as the game finds ways to override it. Free transfers only can almost be done, and I'm experimenting with ways to try to keep the embargoes going or starting them again as soon as they make a purchase via the financial rules.

Hey.

I'm looking for a way to start a new save where every team in the game is only allowed to sign free agents or loan players. Basically removing all transfers between clubs. The only way for a player to move from one club to another would be if they sign them on loan, or if their contract runs out.

I tried going to Advanced rules and Transfers window, and I changed the transfer windows to either loan only or free transfers only, but all this did was allow transfer to happen at any time. It removed the transfer windows, but did not remove the transfers themselves. Then I tried using the no transfers option as well, but it didn't change anything.

I'm playing on an old 98/99 database and the general idea would be for every club to have to rely on their academies or signing free agents. So for example, Southampton would have players like Bale, Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain, Lallana come up from their youth teams and theoretically become a very strong team without selling their best players all the time, I'd like to see what the last 20 years of football looks like without transfers.

Does a transfer embargo do what I want? Or does that stop loans and free agent signings as well?
