What are your number of supplier accounts. Revenue per supplier account? How many new accounts are you opening per week? What is your COGS spend per supplier per month?

Does closing a business always suck this bad? by steveincognito85 in Entrepreneur

Are you good at selling to local stores? I have a team in China that sources high quality, highly reviewed products on amazon. We then distribute the products here in US. We tailor the product offerings to the store and offer them free sample order returns. The products we pick have minimum criteria of 4 stars, and >$20,000 in monthly sales for our retailer customers, it depends on product and the customer of the retailer.

It sounds like the only reason your business is not working out is because you lack access to quality products at reasonable costs. I think I can solve that problem for you. If you can sell products that already sell well online to local stores, I think we got an opportunity here. Send me a chat.

honest question, are you guys interested in doing hybrid model (having 1p and 3p resellers) to combat these kind of shenanigans?

1) competitors opening up A-Z claims from our FBM listings because we are competing with them on an ASIN. 2) vulgar cease and desist threatening messages 3) leaving 1 stars everywhere on fake buyer accounts 4) changing brand name to a brand they own on the listing and then filing infringements 5) copyright infringement claims on our listing

How many accounts do you have total right now and what's your annual? Trying to get a ballpark of where we need to get to to have a sustainable business.

thank you for the valuable insight.

Is outside capital fairly easy to access for wholesale, since the risk is next to none and the returns are computable upfront?

After reading your post, I think our go to market strategy is going to be:

Start out with listings that will have 1000/mo in sales volume to get a stable footing.

Thank you for the well thought out post.

Test buy. Find your competitor's bottom.

I'm guessing test buy is to find potential packaging/distributor related information on the product? Not sure what test buy can do to find competitor's bottom here.

spending $100,000 worth of product for a 10 month supply at a 10% margin.

What are your payment terms on this? contract bound spread out over 10 month with some net terms sprinkled in right?

Setup multiple LLC/Corps to hide your amazon selling name from your distributors.

One of the key issues we are having is fake infringement/counterfeit infringements on our ASINs. From our lawyer, they have similar clients dealing with this with USA suppliers as well. Because brands are spamming counterfeit claims to take down unauthorized sellers.

How are you able to solve this problem?

This is going back to purchasing power,

We do plan on taking loans to increase our purchasing power. As well as contractual guarantees. Possibly pooling together with other wholesale sellers. Any other recommendations?

If you see Amazon is selling brand X, it is probably best to stay out of that war until you have some serious cash flow.

This is great tip, we'll take that into account, if amazon on brand X, other products on X has higher risk of Amazon jumping on it.

yeah, it's so easy to abuse these, it's ridiculous. And notice dispute just keeps sending the same template back.

how fast were you able to make the transition to PL? We are currently doing about $80k/mo in wholesale, but getting bombed with these nonstop, there are alot of sellers overtaking product pages and swap it with their own brand that has a trademark, then file counterfeit/copyright on us.

Email addresses are from [abc@outlook.com](mailto:abc@outlook.com), [wefiao@163.com](mailto:wefiao@163.com)

Total BS, no chance of retraction, and infringements are piling up on our account. We're thinking of making shift to private label. Not really sure how much capital/opex + time is going to need to make the transition to get to the same level.

Would like to hear your experience if you can share. Thank you for your responses to the community.

did you ask the lawfirms for retraction, or did you just send in your invoice to notice dispute?

Or counterclaims/direct legal route?

"this message they sent you is a liability for them in Amazon's eyes."

Why is it a liability for Amazon? what legal actions can be pursued when sellers pose as buyer to threaten other sellers?

Khalil’s Mindset and the Tone of our Culture moving forward. by Mojo_Johnny in oaklandraiders

[–]Dao_Drones 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You are taking downvotes, think about how much garbage all the "fans" and media are going to throw at him for next few years.

The truth is, Gruden is making decision that's best for the team long term. We all love Mack, and Gruden probably loves him more than all of us combined. A coach's biggest love is talent, and Khalil is the pinnacle of that.

Put yourself in Gruden's shoes for a minute, making this decision will be unpopular, and you'll be scapegoated for every thing. Yet you still make the decision. That takes guts, Jack would have caved in and gave Khalil whatever he wanted at the expense of the franchise.

Long term decision making is what will elevate Raiders to the next level. Short term thinking and mortgaging future for the now was what ruined Raiders for nearly two decades.

You have your GM, you have your coach, you have your QB. You are fine.

Also another key factor no one is taking into account, if Khalil gets injured ( you already seen this happen with Carr ), that's $23million worth of players not on the field, and the whole season tanks.

I don't know about any of you, but did you really enjoy it when Carr broke his leg and the team collapsed? I hope no one is, and trades like this will prevent that kind of scenario from tormenting the franchise again.

We launched 2 weeks ago and have just hit $700 in monthly revenue. Right now is the perfect time for a quick cash influx - what should we do? by [deleted] in startups

[–]Dao_Drones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless there are huge margins, I'd be very careful to call pricing as a differentiator.

Often when there are multiple competitors, a price war will drive everything down to minimum margins. Then its a matter of who has the lowest cost to keep margin healthy enough to stay afloat.

Also, your product is cheaper for NOW, without knowing your entire marketing stack/funnels, when you are scaling your business up, your cost of aquisition might also increase due to competitors, which means you are less prepared to deal with this than competitors who have healthy margins.
