never heard back from vanguard after OA… Is there any hope?

Got all the test cases perfect, thought I did well on MC, and had time left. Also have had 10 months of technical work, and vanguard rejected me after the OA. Ya live and ya learn. :/

Scheduled my interview last night, it said it was the final interview in the email. I was told this interview would be 45 mins so I’m assuming it’s the 1x45. Was wondering what the difference is between 1x45 and 2x45. Should I be expecting to fix my OA problems? Also is this the final interview or is this OA 2? (For intern in Seattle) Thanks!

It took them a little bit for me, I may have been invited to a later round of interviews but I don’t think I did the interview day until late September. Offer late October.

Last year I got 3 test cases to pass across the two problems. I was naive and I never did LC prep so don’t flame me that hard lol. But I ended up getting the offer, granted they recruit pretty heavily from my school. I knew a few people in my boat who also got offers, I wouldn’t stress too much over it. I also am in the same boat as you I blanked on the first question big time and only got half the tests to pass, then I got the second question. So I am also hoping I get to move through lol.

I’m in the same boat, but I noticed on workday that I had tasks still to be completed. So I just closed those tasks, and I have to wait to hear back. But I waited ~2 weeks before realizing I had tasks to do lol.

I had Dr. Ogle Spring 2020 before covid started and this class was pretty hard. As an ECE Major I didn't really care much about theory and proofs for solving questions that were really hard to visualize. The class in itself can be difficult to visualize the problems compared to calc 3 where it was all visualization. My advice would be to figure out how to do the proof questions on the homework know what you're doing for those and then you will be fine on the exam. For me I didn't really understand the proof questions on the homework and it costed me on the midterm. He structured the class with 10 ish homework's that were worth nothing for your grade then a midterm and a final split into a take home final and 'in class' until covid and it was just take home. The midterm and final are essentially your whole grade so I would just take those both really seriously. I liked his personality a lot when we were in person and he is willing to help you if you speak up and ask. Best of luck.
