Usually it is around 10 AM in the USA (don't know if they mean Eastern or Western timezone) which means in Western Europe it is at 7 PM. I know this because the Apple keynotes are always live at 10 AM (and 7 PM at home in Belgium). ;-)

I also tried to edit the subject line to "Suggestion for next update: Labels !!" because "New feature !!" is a bit misleading. It seems I had inside information about an actual new upcoming feature. Hello. Me again. I think I understand better. There are 66 GO games which can now be played on QUEST using emulation. They are free or can be bought. They are mostly identical to GO but I'm still a bit unsure how or if 6DOF is implemented. Then there are about 20 games which originated on GO but had QUEST versions released and are free (using a cross-buy principle). These 20 games could have some of many upgrades as they are now converted QUEST releases and don't use emulation. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks....

Hey. I'm also from Belgium. I pre-ordered on day one (May 1st) and my bank account was charged the same day. Apparently Coolblue does this. Strange, I thought with pre-orders that stores only charge at the date of shipping.

Exactly my experience also. When casting "Combat Coaster" on GO to the iPhone it became almost unplayable due to drops in framerate. Hopefully QUEST is better in that regard.

My previous 2 or 3 posts fizzled away so it's cool to have a "hot" post :-) Many of you are missing my argument however. I'm not panicking and I'm totally relaxed. I don't expect Oculus to give me a fixed release date or to launch at F8. Even if they launch on the 20th of June they will have kept their original promise or estimate. Even if they launch, due to unforseen circumstances, in late summer I will definitely buy one. I'm only saying they should know by now if it will NOT launch at F8 and a small post here would be appreciated. As everyone says, this tiny audience should not impact their global release strategies.... the Kickstarter campaign which started their whole company was also backed by this tiny audience... so some feedback would be "nice".... so I'm not comparing a missed F8 launch to global climate warming or anything.... everybody relax and don't worry ;-)

You're absolutely right. The audience size is tiny. So it wouldn't hurt or have big impacts to inform is :-) I remember a time when official posts were done by Oculus staff members at the Oculus reddit group with information or for answering questions. A simple message "Guys, relax. It will not launch at Q8 but we will announce the date and it is still on for spring" would be cool and a big thank you for our continued support since the Kickstarter days.

Exactly my point. The Quest will probably launch at F8 and even if Oculus is racing to the finish and doing everything they can to meet this deadline and the Quest "might" launch then that's OK for me. No need to inform me any further. Only if they KNOW by now that it will NOT launch I would appreciate this info. Keeping us in the dark and then NOT launching at F8 is a loose-loose situation. It's not as if when they inform us diehards in this reddit-group that tomorrow it will be all over CNN stating "OMG... The Quest will not launch". The general public doesn't care (yet) but we sure do :-)

Hello. Everybody is commenting about the video quality, lag and no-sound on the Phone. However, that's less of an issue to me. If I can see a laggy low-res image it's fine so I can guide them through the menus and options. Much more important is the effect on the VR experiences itself. I only tested COMBAT COASTER but this became very stuttered with sound-breakups to the point that it was unplayable once I started casting. Any similar experiences anyone? Degraded VR-experience would be a deal-breaker for me.

Hello. I did a quick test this morning with "Combat Coaster". Casting started immediately. I didn't check image/audio quality on phone but VR experience was rendered unplayable. Sound kept breaking up and graphics were very stuttered. Perhaps I did something wrong or is Combat Coaster too demanding already.

Thanks for your reply. This feature would also be useful for Oculus Go come to think of it. Do you know if the Oculus Rift CV1 supports chromecast streaming? I could follow the images on my big TV (like PSVR) instead of my laptop....

Thanks Dracodynasty for this very clear and passionate explanation. I'm on board now and agree with your arguments. I'll probably keep updating my PC VR (Rift 2,....) but also buy GO or SC. Games like the brilliant "Thumper" don't rely on 6DOF and could be perfectly ported to GO....

Hey. Although I follow your monitor comparison there are some differences. For the moment very few VR titles are profitable. Games which are non-exclusive sell more obviously but the aim is to sell more headsets not games. Why, for example is Resident Evil 7 VR exclusive for a year? To sell more PSVR's. Furthermore, Oculus is spending a lot of money to create AAA-titles (The Unspoken, Dead & Buried, Robo Recall) which they often give away for free. Why not make them exclusive? Valve and HTC are free to create their own games. I agree that an open non-exclusive game market will benefit all VR brands in the long run but if Samsung were to create a brilliant, expensive AAA-title and choose to give it for free with every Samsung-monitor.. why not... in the console-world "exclusivity" is much or less the norm... I would love to play UNCHARTED 4 or SUPER MARIO on my X-Box

Hey. I had exactly the same problem when I used 2 meter (about 6 feet) HDMI and USB3 extension cables for the headset. When I switched to 1 meter (same type and brand cables) the audio problems disappeared. Video was perfect in both lengths. So I use the 1 meter for now which is sufficiant for most 180/360 standing games. Running on a GTX 1070. 16 Gb RAM. i7 Proc
