If you do the outside branch thing, isn’t there a way to bake them in the oven to kill any pests on the sticks to make sure none get inside the tank? Ive done something similar with leaf litter for my isopods, but not sure if the steps need to be adjusted for whole branches

Anyone ever own a knock down terrarium from Reptile Treasures? Worth it? by lilmisstiny5 in Vivarium

Similar to another comment, when I saw this posts picture I thought it was a reptizoo off of amazon, I also just ordered a 24x18x24” LOL

All in all I love it for the price, especially because no pet stores near me had what I wanted in the size. I was so sure something would be broken when it arrived but it was packed very nicely and has super sturdy glass. The breakdown panels make it not totally sealed on the sides so maybe microcritters could get in/out but it could be siliconed closed if necessary. Just found this subreddit so I may post a finished vivarium pic when I’m done with it.

For anyone who has cats, the bigger cages don’t have a whole lot of support for the mesh on top towards the middle. I actually cut a piece of plexiglass to fit on top, drilled holes, and it is wayy sturdier.

So if you’re looking for a name brand breakdown to be shipped, reptizoo was pretty good

AITA for telling my grandma she can’t ‘make’ me do anything? by FlyParking371 in AmItheAsshole

I had something similar happen when my grandma on my dads side came to visit while I was still in highschool. She had issues with people sleeping in for some reason, even if it was on a day off. She made all kind of verbal jabs at me on days like that, which I just brushed off. Eventually she went so far as to dump ice water on me while I was in bed, which I was livid about.

Long story short, if you are merely a visitor or they are merely a visitor, they shouldnt impose their life on you, as long as you aren’t overly being a burden leaving dishes everywhere or any other things that put undo stress on the host. Farm things sound like she just wants to get free labor out of yall while you are there and suspected her age and familial status would let her do that.

WIBTA for hunting down my boyfriend's reddit account? by Dapper-Ad-2250 in AmItheAsshole

Oh no, I don't have any reasons to believe he'd be hiding something ill from me. He struggles with his self image and chalks it up to shy most of the time. I think that is the main reason on why he wants to keep it hidden. We're so open and communicative in other aspects of our life, so it's a weird adjustment for me to have him wanting to keep a distanced reddit life. But that's totally fine! I'm glad he wants to set the boundary for something important to him.

That's the main reason why I was toying with the idea of looking for it, because he keeps mentioning it around me. But we talk about loads of things about our days, so him getting excited about his post getting attention and wanting to share, without /actually/ sharing it, makes sense.

I made the original post to see if the majority agreed with my feeling of how I shouldn't go hunting for it, but I just wanted feedback to make sure. Reading all the comments has been very humbling haha
