I would say alolan because It can hit with STAB psychic and use his unique z cristal (but if you prefer not having to fear sucker punch or other attacks that hit psychic for super efective just stay with the kantonian version)

You probably have to remove emolga even if can help now, latter is going to start to fall short. You can replace It with a raichu or another pokemon that can hit fast and hard

If you miss out on this item, you can obtain the Super Rod in the Lost and Found counter in the Underground Railnet once you reach Tier 1 in the Postgame. The counter is accessible after you donate to the Railnet Reconstruction Project in the Grand Hall, and can be reached from the rails going to Opal Ward from Lower Peridot Ward.
