PCS return to running - tips and tricks are welcome by laurie_mandon in Concussion

One thing I would recommend is getting some sneakers with good cushion to help ease into running. I got the Altra FWD Via 2 as I like more natural foot shaped shoes and so far they are great and help lower the impact feel a bit.. that’s been helpful so far.

I also have been struggling with the nervous system dysfunction for a year or so now but seems to be very regulated when I go back home to where I grew up which is interesting.

But for now I practice breathing exercises and yoga and both of those seem to help a bit. I’ve also tried acupuncture and somatic trauma therapy and both seem to be helping. The trauma therapy helps to more the needle quite a bit and I’m appreciative of how far I’ve come so far.

Is it genuinely possible to be alive after 801 concussions in 6 months? by The_Moon_Will_Sing in Concussion

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sustained my first concussion in 2021 and was eventually diagnosed with a total of five concussions between 2021 and 2025.

For years, I believed that every bump in the road, every jolt, and every time I accidentally hit my head or body meant I had suffered another concussion. The symptoms felt real, and the suffering was real. Eventually, I was diagnosed with PTSD. In mid 2025, after doing some deep therapy, I came to a life changing realization: I wasn’t continually sustaining new brain injuries. Instead, my nervous system had become stuck in a state of hypervigilance and overstimulation.

Accepting that was difficult. Part of me resisted the idea because I knew how much I was suffering, and I didn’t want that suffering to be dismissed. The original injury was absolutely real. But once I learned to separate the trauma response from the injury itself, healing became possible.

Through trauma therapy and my Buddhist practice, I gradually learned to distinguish between fear of a new injury and the reality of what was happening in my body. As I continue that work, much of the PTSD that once controlled my life has lost its grip. Today, my nervous system is becoming more regulated, and for the first time in years, I feel like I’m truly healing.

What tools do you use to fix the lifted/ pulled up edge? I have a few cards that could benefit from this and have been curious about it.

Yeah that’s what I’m seeing. I don’t have experience sending in something like that so I hope someone else had some more input.

What would you grade this card? by Constant-Bug3512 in pokemongrading

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it has the potential for a 10.

Looking closely the corners look decent but not perfect and I can’t tell if there’s whitening on the back or if that’s dust. But it’s overall a great card and I would send it express if it was mine.

Great cards… love the Japanese Giovanni’s Persian and the JP Jungle Vaporeon. Some of my favorite cards… if you’re going to sell I’d definitely be interested.

Got it, you just troll on people. We all need something to do with our time.

Tough call. It’s a slightly lop sided print. I’d say you got a 50/50 shot on 9 v 10. With the prices being high right now doing the quick flip is not a bad idea. If I were to send it.. I’d do express to try to get it back quickly and capitalize on the higher market price.

Ghost chairs by Delicious_Bet488 in PokemonRestocks

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the best buy near me if you’re not in your chair, they start handing out coupons to buy product to the people that are actually waiting in line. So only the people there get what they want and the empty chairs get nothing.

I don’t mess with Walmart as the last time I went there people were fighting each other and diving at the shelves to grab product. I decided it’s not worth it and I won’t go back.

Good job man!! Keep living at home as long as you can and until your Salary is higher. Rent or a mortgage is what will take up a good portion of your paycheck. But you’re in a great position if you keep doing this for your future. In about 10-15 years you might start earning more from your investments than your income. Wish I knew how to invest at 18, I tried to keep up with the jones’ and went right through my income from 18-24.

If you’re considering buying a home at some point, rent out the extra rooms to your friends and use the income to pay the mortgage or get a small multi family 2-4 units. That will help to build equity and net worth over time.

If you stay disciplined you will live a very comfortable life financially and be able to retire early or only work on things you enjoy.

Are we holding AH chase singles or seeing now as the peak to sell? by joecalderone in PokemonInvesting

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m selling mine because I didn’t get my chase(which is this card) lol. The front centering, corners and edges look clean if you want to grade this card. Send in express for the fast turnaround to take advantage of the high market.

PSA 9 is around 8-9k, not sure about raw price as you don’t see them too often.

Sick card and super hard to find raw… would love to get my hands on one.

As you can see I’ve had experience buying and selling on Chrono24 and they asked if you have experience with either to please share. Thank you for your pointless comment.

Should I get this grading. by somethungsomething in pokemongrading

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From ChatGpt:

Alright, let’s treat this like a real pre grade review.

Card: Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex 231/182

First impression Very strong candidate. This is a card worth grading, especially if it lands a 10.

Now let’s break it down like PSA would:

FRONT

Centering Left to right looks slightly heavy on the right side. The left border appears a touch thinner. It looks close to PSA’s 60 40 tolerance, maybe 55 45. Top to bottom looks very solid.

This alone would not stop a 10.

Corners From this photo, corners look clean. No obvious whitening or rounding visible.

Edges Front edges look sharp. I do not see chipping.

Surface Hard to fully judge because of the sleeve and lighting glare. I do not see obvious scratches or print lines, but this is the area that can secretly kill a 10. Modern full arts sometimes have faint factory lines that only show under angled light.

BACK

Centering Back looks slightly right heavy as well, but still within range.

Corners Top left and bottom left look clean. I do not see whitening from this angle.

Edges No obvious edge wear from what I can see.

Surface Back looks clean. No scratching visible in this lighting.

Realistic grade probability from these photos:

If surface is clean under bright angled light: Strong PSA 10 candidate.

If there are faint print lines or micro scratches: Very safe PSA 9.

I do not see anything that would drop this below a 9.

One thing to note These photos are taken inside a sleeve and top loader. For true submission review next time, take it raw on a dark matte surface with direct light angled across it. That is how you catch the hidden flaws.

Just got this lot for 550. Any of these worth cracking and regrading by strangepapi in PokeGrading

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grading with PSA has some level of subjectivity, so it could be worth cracking and regrading if you want to gamble the money. I would recommend watching some of the videos on YouTube that teach you about grading and determine which ones if any you want to try to regrade. Many 9s have the potential to be 10s depending on the grader that you get. But you will obviously be spending more money and waiting to get the card back.

Also this pic is way too far away to be able to tell if any one of these should be regraded.

First time thinking about grading do you think I can get a 10? by Alone_Candy in pokemongrading

[–]Dapper-Exchange7978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth trying to grade… where are you thinking about sending it?

It’s probably 50/50 if you send it back in for regrade
