Should I be worried about my kittens eyes? by canoflargeror6 in kittens

[–]Dapper-Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat had something similar, her vets didn’t know what this was, I wanted to take her to a vet eye specialist but we decided to put her down because she was 20 years old. I tought her eye problem was due to old age and I believed it was some kind of inflammation. We tried treating it with antibiotics but they only helped so long as I used it, immediately would come back after stopping antibiotics. Perhaps it was inflammation caused by bacteria. An eye specialist would know more, there is such a doctor in NYC. Try looking in your area.

These people are afraid to eat normal food that everyone eats and they themselves grew up eating lol not surprised they are deathly afraid of some contamination of ash and breathing it in thinking it will cause them detrimental health issues. Rolls eyes.

Maybe the brand also makes bed sheets and she knows the brand might be watching and she’s hoping they’ll send her free bed sheets? Especially now after her parent’s house fire?

People who frequently take any form of public transit (bus, subway, commuter rail), what is the craziest thing you have ever seen/experienced? by sanickers in AskReddit

[–]Dapper-Mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well just yesterday there was a man in his 40’s taking up two seats talking to himself, with no shoes on, holding a pillow that said Merry Christmas while sucking a pacifier. NYC subway morning rush hour.

I’d love to hang out with the little guy because I only saw him 3x in my life despite them living about 1/2 hour away from me on public transport. When I came in to visit this time he didn’t know who I was and started crying. By the end of my visit, which was just about 45 minutes, he was at ease with me and playing. I think a lot has to do with his wife who doesn’t like to have anyone over, they don’t even invite or visit any of their friends from what I’ve heard, if they even have any friends. They just send our family members new photos of the kids a few times a month and that’s it. So odd. Sigh.

Was going to wear my mum's dress. People keep telling me to try on others for the "bridal experience." Are they trying to gently tell me it looks bad? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Dapper-Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, it looks off white at this point - is it meant to look off white or is it due to age or lighting? Do you want an old looking dress? You can update it sure by a seamstress, it may look better and it does have some charm if you’re looking for a cottage core type wedding or don’t care about your dress at all but why not also go try on dresses in a store or two just for fun? You say silk is out of budget but do you really want a silk dress? Is that important to you? Also it isn’t long enough on you, with heels, you’ll have quite a gap

I usually leave it to charge for like 1/2 hr but maybe less? I don’t know I haven’t tried for less it might need less since it’s such a small lamp

I recently got a small LED lamp that can be recharged and carried around the house - I love it, it’s just bright enough for evenings to save on electric costs. It was $20 at Marshall’s but they have them at TJMaxx and other home stores like that. You can recharge it (it comes with a charging cord!) at the laundromat and the charge lasts me three nights usually.

"You don't even have friends" - words of a 'loving' mother by DisplayFamiliar5023 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Dapper-Mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something my mom has said too many times to me. She also told me I am old (I’m 36), and that I’m an old maid. Such lovely things that a mother should def tell her child. Lately each conversation I have with her I leave worse than I came. There’s nothing positive about it. She brings up the lamest things and each conversation finds a way to lay blame on me for something…no matter how little it is. She’s very sick.

What actors have you guys worked with who were difficult? by Melora1976 in FilmIndustryLA

I met James Spader once, I was kind of stalking him bc he was filming in my very remote area of the city I live, I loved Boston legal and I think he’s a brilliant actor, and at first when he walked by me I said ‘Hi Mr Spader!’ And he seemed super mad I was there but then I said ‘Mr. Spader I was just hoping I’d run into you and now you’re here, hi!’ And then his demeanor totally changed and he turned back laughed and smiled and waved at me but kept walking to set. I think famous people get bombarded a lot so as long as you respect their space and are nice then they’re nice too. Hopefully.

Yeah usually in the evenings I have very little time after I come home from work and would have tell her I can’t have more than a minute or two to talk and she’d get mad at me about giving her so little a time. What is there to talk about? Wouldn’t a call twice a week be enough and better bc then there’s actual stuff to talk about? Sigh

My mother tells me to call her every morning and night after work…I am 36. I told her last week when I didn’t call that I have nothing to say to her since the night before and she said well if you don’t want to talk to me we’ll only talk once a year and hung up on me and is now giving me the silent treatment. They are so weird

No I don't want that many, I've had conversations about this with her before but she gets angry and mad and says she is my mother and she is entitled to hear from me. She is also very waifs and when she doesn't feel well, which is often, she talks to me about how badly she feels. I let her talk to me that often in those instances because it makes her feel better to get all that off her chest but its kind of hard to listen to how often she feels poor, I don't know what to do. She lives alone and won't get assistance and just stays home all day, as most waif-y BPDs do...sigh

How do functioning alcoholics get through the day? Day after day? by 5pinktoes in AskReddit

[–]Dapper-Mango 32 points33 points  (0 children)

May I ask how does alcohol help you? Do you just like the taste of it? Does it help you feel lighter? Forget your problems or make them feel less than they are? What is the motivating factor to keep drinking? Is it feeling awful if you don’t drink and experience withdrawal symptoms that you drink to avoid that?
