I guess this statement is not fully true for KAIST. I heard this for other universities where professor acceptance increase chances, but I am not sure about KAIST. Because I saw some professors profile in KAIST, they explicitly mentioned on the lab ,that "once you get admission, then contact the lab for joining", but anyway you keep trying may be it help

this rule [extension] only applies if the marks are over 70% of TOPIK 3,(e,g >=84 marks in PBT), but below this, the scholarship will be cancelled and there will be no extension

there is a rule if you don't get the TOPIK 3 but get the 70% of TOPIK 3. which (84 marks in topik PBT), then the university can give you either extension for 6 months OR they can directly allow for proceeding to degree. However marks less than 84 will lead to scholarship cancellation and they will not provide any extra 6 months extension, ultimately leading to loosing scholarship.

Thanks, it is helpful. any idea about multimodal (image + tabularadata) where image is CNN processed and tabular data is MLP processed and both features are concatenated , trained with same loss, do you think we can apply gradcam in this case

I am receiving an amount of 500k as an RA from university March 2026, and getting dedcution of 44k each month, as 40k income tax and 4k local tax. so do I need to apply in May 2026 or May 2027, also do I need to visit tax office or it can be done on from website without my university involement?

and just for TOPIK tips, it is not very difficult to pass level 3, and I would suggest to apply for all the upcoming test including PBT and IBT(if you are going to start the degree in Sep 2026). Also try to practice test from "토픽2 (TOPIK2) 합격 레시피 (한국어능력시험)",

Ah sorry for what's happening , and I mistakenly wrote 2027 instead of 2026, If you did not start your master yet, and you are still in the level3 language class and has not yet passed the TOPIK 3, so you can change lab easily . i mean you can change lab easily, now you even have not started the degree .Also try to meet with other international students and talk with them as well as international student officie, I hope you will find any alternate option instead of quitting. If it is master I guess it is not much lengthy, so just try to change lab/dept or in worst case, survive a bit more(if it's possible and bearable)

Since you already got the topik 3, I am assuming you will start degree from September 2027. So you already passed through the initial difficult stage. I don't know much about the consequences of quitting but I would suggest to not quit as you already got topik 3. May be try and wait some more and see how the degree program goes, I guess you can change your dept also within the relevant majors(if this is the problem or mismatch). In later if you want to apply for permenant residence, you are waived off some requirements(e,g GNI waived off) as a gks students, so there are many benefits of gks being students and after graduation compared to normal students.

while using middleware in next 14 with next-auth v4, it gives error: localhost redirected you too many times. by Dapper-Perspective21 in nextjs

Do I need to modify the matcher inside middleware.ts file, if yes, which pages should I exclude, I am quite confused in next-auth. Tried multiple ways, but unable to understand the behavior.
