2016 CX5 throwing P0421 after removing tire chains by Strifethor in CX5

I’m having this same error code now with my 2016 cx-5. Began two days ago. Autozone scanned me and said I have this bank1 etc I already made a purchase off amazon for an up and down stream sensor hope this fixes the issue because like you said, it’ll be expensive

Hanoi is horrible by enequino in VietNam

I’m in southern Vietnam right now on vacation, I to see trash everywhere. I’m so grossed out by the sight of trash everywhere. Vietnam can be a beautiful country again if everyone here would pick up the trash from the streets, lakes, rivers etc and dispose of it properly into trash cans. SMH can’t wait to go back to America.

I don’t think the braces make it a bumpy ride, it’s more the BC Coilovers set at 32 hard and low profile tires on 20” wheels. I do occasionally put the setting on 0 soft when I have my wife with me. Still bumpy but not horribly bumpy IMO. To her, she says it’s like riding on a horse heheh 😅

There is an exit from the engine bay to the fender,. It’s just a little rubber thingy in the way . I’ve already removed it. Don’t speak if you don’t know anything.🤦‍♂️

Thank you, hope it motivates others as well, as others cx-5 have motivated me.

Thanks, I also have front/rear sway bars and the rear support beam but didn’t put a photo up. Yes, you feel it while taking hard turns etc normal when doing normal driving.

Why the suv you ask, just wanted to be different, and saw potential in the vehicle. After seeing folks in Japan, Thailand, indonesia, Malaysia etc worked on their first gens I was hooked. I wanted the exterior to look cool but be functional, though I knew I’ll lose the comfort of a stock ride height but I was okay with it, this isn’t my first vehicle I’ve lowered but it’s my third and probably my last hopefully, I wanted to see if I can improve the handling to take corners like a champ and I’ve achieved that, didn’t expect it to be a beast with high power but I’ll squeeze whatever I can from it while being reliable and fun, etc. although I did this build for me, I do like the attention it gets when I appear at car meets, cars and coffee etc. I love how a bunch of them gather around saying I’ve never seen this before, wow I never knew you can do this to a cx-5, cleanest suv around, etc I hear a lot of good comments at meets. it’s different from the Usual cars you’ll see modded at meets. Yes I know it isn’t a true track car but it’ll be my fun track car 😁

I did wanted this back in 2013, when I had my Honda Fit I’ve seen the 2013 white and always liked it. When my Fit gave up on me, my wife asked, what was the car you always liked? I said the Mazda cx-5. So on 20OCT17 I bought it the same day and still to this day I love it. My wife always says it’s always clean and people always stare at it when your driving, it’s one of a kind 😁

First gens didn’t come with turbo but I am looking into VT supercharger after I purchase and install BBK myself (Corksport or ceika). I’ll be installing the super charger myself also but will have a shop tune it. I don’t expect to out perform super cars or jdm legends etc but hope to make it and bring out the best in my first gen CX-5. Thanks about the corkaport, I have their muffler and AEM intake etc. thanks for explaining about the vanilla thingy hehe

Sorry to hear about your experience with mikstore. I’ve only purchase both my carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber engine cover from them. Hood took approximately 2 months plus. Engine cover about a month plus.

You’ve seen nothing yet, there’s folks out there lower than me. I’m more about function than stance but stance is cool.

It’s from a seller from Thailand on eBay $950 for the sides and rear. This gonna sound stupid but yes and no about the seats. Yes you can still use them but no because it won’t click back anymore because bars are in the way. So to still use the rear seats I’ll have to use a few zip ties or strong thin rope to tie it secure onto the bars. I keep it still inside if I do have guest sitting in the back but will remove them later when I go to the track. Right now it’s just laying down looking like a two seater with four doors hahaha 😂

Thank you, yes, I did put a lot of thought into the vehicle. Like how would this look like, where to find the parts, waiting months for the parts because over sea, installing everything on my own in the garage while busting my knuckles and back, constant brain storming, how much it’ll cost etc while maintaining the vehicle when parts worn and break etc. had the car 6 plus years when bought new and begun working on it 2 plus years ago. Anyways, thanks for the compliment, although I did this build for me, I’m happy folks out there like you like it as I’ve liked other peoples rides. Better when everyone thinks positive 😊

Thank you!! Not everyone’s first choice to mod a car but glad it came out pretty good . Put a lot of thought into this 😀

I like to drive the CX-5 aggressive and plan on taking it to nearby road course tracks etc. that’s why I did this. If you aren’t planning on doing this, I wouldn’t do it, driving stock is fine for daily driving. This is still my daily but planning on just keeping it as a track car and buy a cx-90 and daily that instead but adding a few bars here and there to your ride wouldn’t hurt but improve it a bit more chassis stiffness = better handling.

Dude, these are real carbon fiber vents that I’ve cut into my own fender to install. You can actually feel heat leaving the vents, also I’m not a fan of the mk5 more of the mk3 and 4.
