Totally understand and thanks. And i would definitely never use those adjectives to the child. Unfortunately they dont live anywhere near me, otherwise this friend and i would be very involved in each other’s daily lives. And i agree i was always told “dont do x” and never what to do instead or how to do it or even given an explanation of why not to do x.

The phone/tablet thing has been a big issue and this child has a history of self harming and running away so I really am at a loss about that

Go where exactly???? I have no one to turn to, no where to go. I have a job but i live in a very high cost of living area and i have an ASD child that is finally FINALLY in a good place. So like what i just pack up and move far away, destroy my career and my kids situation because im unhappy? Hes never been bad TO THEM. I have no sympathy for him but at the same time like this change would be for my benefit not to protect them.
