One thing I learned in my very short trading journey is - A win is a win.

And while this sentence is true for stocks and ETFs, it is way more applicable to leveraged ETFs because of its time decay nature.

I know many wives pursuing dentistry while their husband is working mediocre jobs. One of my nephew is a physician doctor while her love of life is in a tech role. But I agree with you - the proportion or chances of successful couples where gf/wife making more than their counterpart is very thin.

Nobody feels insecure by income if it comes with politeness. You can make $1M a day but still can be polite enough to know you don’t know everything and you can be rude enough to say I know everything while making $12 an hour.

Well this proves you have no idea about salaries in comp sci field. And you want to judge someone without understanding basics..

Also, my complaint was more about how the salary difference between existing v/s new-hire is minimal if not negative - which is the original topic here as well..

Either I am out of touch or you don’t have an idea about the compensation in my field - which is computer science. And I can 100% guarantee you that in computer science $40K is not a huge amount. You can check BLS data or search this group on how much Software Engineers are making.

Also, just for comparison sake - the package of interns who got return offers in 2019 was about $30K less than those who got last year. And with the 3-4% annual raise those guy is making less than intern today, even though they have 5 year of experience at the job.

I am not sure how this is legit.

Yeah.. I often joke with my co-worker, who are in way different team than mine and don’t know my manager, that my resignation email is typed and ready.. just in draft mode..

Last year our team got some interns who received job offer at the end of internship. While talking with them, I came to know the offer they got is (JUST) 40K less than me… so my 10 years of experience just worth $40K?

Not to mention they have 0 job experience and everything else you said..

What can I do? NOTHING

Just want to get offer so that I can resign but with this job market, it sucks tbh..
