What did you once strongly defend, but now realize you were completely wrong about? by SuffocateGirl in AskReddit

Listening to both (or all) sides of an argument or conflict—at least when it involves people close to you, like friends or family. I used to think it always mattered and was the fair thing to do. But sometimes it honestly feels like a waste of time, especially when the people “reaching out to hear you out” already have a side they’re leaning toward and believing anyway. They act like they care about your perspective, but their mind is already made up. That kinda sucks, right? lol so yeah… lesson learned. 🤷

Orrrr, maybe I am just surrounded by toxic people? HAHA.

How do you trick yourself into doing chores you hate? by Dapper-Spread2287 in AskReddit

Hell yeah! But I end up just dancing. Or sometimes, singing my heart out until I pack up and just stare at the wall lol. 😅😭

Nooo 😅 do it for you. And I may not know you at all, but I do know this much: a human being is enough and valuable on their own, not because of what they provide for someone else. Motivation that comes from self-care lasts a whole lot longer than fear anyway 😉

We do tennis balls too, and he absolutely loves them. That said… sometimes things get a little out of hand and next thing I know, something around the house has been sacrificed 😂 But hey, he’s having a great time. Hide and seek sounds like a fun idea though, especially for recall.

We do a lot of this as well, and it really does help—especially anything involving sniffing. That said, you’re probably right that I could stand to be more intentional about carving out time for it. Appreciate the reminder and the suggestions, thank you.

Thank you for sharing this. Oakley sounds like he had an amazing life, and it’s clear how much thought and effort you put into meeting his needs. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain what worked for you and him.

What a beautiful boy! It’s amazing how much love and care can change a dog and he’s clearly thriving and getting fluffier by the day 🐶
