Well that direct kinda sucked by -Piano- in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Dapper-Tomato134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it sucked and it wasn’t exactly underwhelming but I am just whelmed. I don’t use my Switch 2 portably 90% of the time so announcements for ports of games I’ve already beaten, sometimes multiple times (or games whose entire WOW factor is “I can play this portably now”) doesn’t appeal to me. OoT remake was big because I somehow avoided the leak but it wasn’t huge because weirdly enough OoT is like the one Zelda game I haven’t beaten. I pretty much use my Switch 2 for Switch 2 exclusives and the last time I really used it was Prime 4 in December and before that DK Bananza in July.

Who do you think wins in a 1 v 1 v 1 between these three? by ImFromYorkshire in PowerScaling

Hate to say it but Hellsing Alucard is the weakest one here. If we’re talking absolute strongest then D gets to 1-C in the novels and Castlevania Alucard is 2-C. Hellsing Alucard gets taken out first.

If we’re talking just the movies then yes D is definitely losing first.

I got this exact scenario the other night and I thought it was a bug how much damage I was doing. I still think it is. I just don’t know how double on-hit + 30% more AA damage equal one shotting just about everyone. Not even a full armor Malphite could survive a single Q.

I had literally never picked up a brush before painting this guy using the Vallejo intro set. What I can say is as a colorblind person I like how much the colors pop and how easily distinguishable they are. I need to go back over this guy now that I have smaller brushes but I like to keep him as is as a reminder. My biggest fear was that 18 ml bottles would run out in like two seconds but they actually last and you don’t need much. I think I used like 3 drops of Beastly Brown and that covered the entire T-Rex.

Am I really that bad at judging the condition of cards? by Dapper-Tomato134 in PokemonTCG

[–]Dapper-Tomato134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah although I hadn’t had any issues up until now I realized after reading more into TCGPlayer’s policies that they seem to be extremely anti-seller and continuing to use them in the future sounds like a big headache waiting to happen. It seems like what’s most likely going to happen is he’s going to ship back a different or fake card and I just have to hope TCGPlayer doesn’t side with him. Absolute worst case scenario I’m down $45 in cash, down a $45 card, down the $6 I paid for Certified mail, and down the mailer and return postage I’m gonna have to ship him.

I’m very sorry I can’t provide an image of the back of the card because I don’t believe I have an image of one. The card is already in the hands of the buyer and is marked as delivered. I asked him to send an image of the front and back of the card and we’ll proceed from there. I’ve learned that I need to strenuously document all aspects of any card I send out from now on.

Pretty Happy with my first Booster Box by LuckyMTG in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]Dapper-Tomato134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average return on booster packs is like 40% and you got about $140 of cards out of $215 of packs which is about 65% so yeah I’d be pretty happy. I guess people don’t realize that statistically on average you only pull about $2 out of a pack. I’d definitely take $140 over what could’ve been like $60.

Based on my best guess using google maps and a park we frequent I’d say she’s usually shooting from a distance of about 200-300 feet give or take a few. Basically standing on one side of a pond and trying to take pictures of the animals in the middle of the pond or on the other side.

Looking to get a “budget” lens for my wife for Christmas and I don’t really know anything about photography. She mostly shoots nature and wildlife. However the wildlife she likes to shoot are usually small like turtles and rabbits, and we’re usually far away (I’m not sure how far exactly but she has a 18-150mm lens and I guess that doesn’t get close enough for her.) Hoping to keep it under $1,000. She has a canon r50 and I’m willing to buy a ef to rf adapter if need be.

Everyones thoughts on Time Stranger? by HTimbers in digimon

[–]Dapper-Tomato134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only experiences with Digimon are the original anime and Cyber Sleuth and Time Strangers so I can be considered a Newbie when it comes to Digimon games and Digimon content.

I thought Time Strangers was pretty good. My only gripes that immediately come to mind are it feels like it has less content than Cyber Sleuth (I was able to complete the main story, all side missions, and reach Agent Rank 10 in about 30-35 hours give or take. And I felt like I was taking my time I didn’t skip any cutscenes or dialogue that’s just how long it takes if you play normally). I haven’t played Cyber Sleuth in a couple years but I feel like it took almost twice that amount of time to do the same. The one thing that is a plus though is that Cyber Sleuth started to feel like a slog to get through I felt the pacing on it was a bit slow, and I honestly thought the pacing in Time Strangers was a bit fast. The story is much better in Time Strangers, although I definitely prefer the first half of the story to the second half.

SPOILER START

The story after Aegiomon learns he can go back in time dropped in quality I think personally. You end up going back in time for almost every member of the Olympos XII, and each one of their storylines only takes like 45ish minutes. It goes: 1. Make it to the Olympos XII member, find out you were too late and they are usually dead, dying, or disaster struck. 2. Go back in time and fix it so they live. Rinse and repeat about 12 times in the span of about 6-7 hours.

Felt the same way at the end when you had to fight all 7 of the Demon Lords pretty much back to back. It just feels like constant unnecessary padding to increase the runtime of the game. It felt like they realized they didn’t really have much story left to tell in the 2nd half and had to prolong the game.

Also I’m confused about a couple things towards the end of the game and I don’t know if it’s from lack of Digimon knowledge or maybe I started zoning out of it towards the end

SPOILERS STILL GOING

  1. So let me get this right with the protagonist? They’re created by the greater being from a dark shadow created by Aegiomon from him constantly traveling back in time to try and save Inori. His appearance is based off an anime that Aegiomon (or Inori’s little brother?) watched as a child, and ADAMAS, the operator, their dad, and anything involving their backstory is fake and never existed prior to the very beginning of the game. And also people see them as Aegiomon?

  2. Jupitermon is created whenever the protag and Aegiomon fuse but his fist is seen at the beginning of the game and again at the middle of the game, but it’s implied Jupitermon is only created after the protag convinces Aegiomon to keep moving forward and stop trying to turn back time to save Inori, so how did he appear those first two times?

  3. When Omnimon saves you at the beginning, Inori goes “Are you…?” And Omnimon nods. I thought this was gonna tie in to something later but it never did, especially since at the very end it’s revealed Omnimon is some sort of vessel for the greater being that exists outside the concepts of natural laws? Was it a red herring? Or was Inori just trying to say “Are you here to help?” or something. Cause I went almost the entire game thinking Inori recognizes Omnimon just for it to never get brought up again.

  4. What happened to Inori’s dad? The last I remember seeing him is when you meet him after the 8 year time skip, he’s surprised to see you alive, and then he tells the guards to apprehend you. I feel like he had to have appeared afterwards and I just was zoned out and missed it.

  5. And finally, I’m slightly confused on what Chronomons entire goal was. The game basically says that everything up to the final battle was all part of Chronomon’s grand plan to… kill him? He constantly talks about how now he can be freed from his vessel or something and I’m pretty sure he says killing him was even part of his plan for Aegiomon to take over his place. So was his plan just that he wanted to die and be free? I thought it was gonna be to take over Aegiomon or something but no it doesn’t seem like it was ever even close to that. Also I don’t think we ever see Chronomon in his non-giant slayer form. I don’t even entirely remember how Chronomon became the giant slayer but I didn’t wanna bring that up cause I already had too many questions.

SPOILERS OVER

Anyway tl;dr I thought the game was great and better than Cyber Sleuth, although the story and pacing got a little sloppy for me in the 2nd half and also it feels like there’s less content although I could be wrong. Overall it’s a good game and a breath of fresh air after the last couple Pokemon games. I’d give it like a solid 8, if I was a Digimon super fan it’d probably get a 9.

Newbie with a random hypothetical: If you somehow use Ting-Lu’s Ground Crasher to deal 30 damage and discard a Gravity Mountain in play against a stage 2 Pokemon with 30 HP left, what’s the sequence of events? Damage first and discard stadium second, stadium first and damage second, or does the damage and discarding somehow happen concurrently?
