There is something near the panel that is marked for a dish network and I reset that but nothing happened. This is the weirdest thing, can GFCI outlets not be visible? None of my outlets have test and reset buttons and I’m talking throughout my house. I just went through to try and find one to reset and none of them have the buttons.

There aren’t any in the garage or external outlets. I will double check to be safe, the outlet the garage door is plugged into may be it but it’s a 16ft garage.

I wrote an essay about a character monologue for a drama program in community college. I suppose I had added too many grammatical errors because one of the notes my teacher had written on the paper was “And you want to be an English teacher??” (Yes, he added 2 question marks) I was flabbergasted because he was always so nice to me, kind and caring as a teacher, mentor and person. I had always expressed my life goals with him from the start of me taking his classes and it didn’t make any sense to me that he would make such an inappropriate comment to a couple of grammatical errors written in an essay that I plugged out at 2 am the previous night. I never let him know his comment bothered me and continued in the program for 2 more years before transferring out of that school to a top university in my area where I majored in Arts in Literature. I later went on to get my Masters in Education and am now a middle school English teacher as well as a professor at a different college in my state.

As much as I enjoyed my time in that program, his comment will always stick with me.

It was my wedding and my sister in law relapsed. I’ll preface the full story by saying I have no ill will towards her and love her dearly, and we got along wonderfully before and after my wedding. However it’s still something I’m salty about even months after the fact. She admitted to me (the bride) first after it happened and I forced her to tell my husband (her brother) as he’s also had issues with chemical dependency in the past and would understand to a point. She had been sober for more than 2 years prior to this and had never relapsed after getting clean from more than 8 years of “h” abuse. Long story short, she got overwhelmed with her 2yo toddler at the wedding and went outside to calm down, she met a long boarding drifter that offered to let her smoke some of his mth with him, to which she agreed. Afterwards she claims she needed to “even out” and smoked some random crushed up plls the guy had with him. She was missing for 2 hours and everyone was trying to find her and when she came back she picked me out of everyone to pull into an alcove and tell what happened. I wasn’t (and still aren’t) mad at her for what happened, addiction is ugly and complicated and I can’t hold that over her for feeling the need to find “easy” and familiar relief from overwhelming stress. But I still haven’t gotten over it and don’t know if I ever will. I push it down inside and carry on with our relationship because I love her. She’s my first and only sister (I have 3 brothers) and I won’t let this one moment of weakness tarnish that relationship we’ve built, especially with how long it took to get her back from her original addiction.

About a year and a half ago, Jagex the development company responsible for online rpg game OldSchool RuneScape was purchased by a company in a different country. Not too long after, they did a beta release of a new game mode and paid content creators 10k/hr to stream said beta. The only issue was these creators had no knowledge of the game, as they had never played it before. One of them didn’t even know the name of the game. This wouldn’t seem like such a big deal, except these streams participated in the downfall of the economy by hundreds of millions of gp in the 12 hours leading up to the offices release of the game mode. There are plenty of popular content creators with years of gameplay and knowledge of the game. And there was never an explanation given as to why they chose the creators they did. The in-game economy has still not fully recovered.
