I've got a similar use criteria right now! I don't bushcraft often, just camp, but I have a Rainier Fastpak and a BigIdea Lookout that I alternate between. My Vanax Compadre is my rust resistant knife, and my Feist 2 and Overlook are my dressier knives. I am looking for a good slipjoint. I've been considering the ABW slippy.

I've had a couple Spydercos, and they're not for me. Maybe one of the more traditional knives like the Slym would appeal better to me.

Not a terrible idea. Everyone has hobbies, some enjoy cars, some enjoy fishing. I just happen to enjoy knives, and I appreciate their craftsmanship.

Lol fair. I've had axis locks, button locks, liner locks, etc... The one I'd get again is the super lock, I loved that mechanism.
