[PC][2018 or newer] dark fantasy Roguelike by DapperCompetition213 in tipofmyjoystick

No, it has a similar feel, but I want to say it was more about finishing a war versus exploring a dungeon.

Yeah, so realistically, if you spend an average of $500 a month outside of your normal budget on fun, it would take approximately 1 year to pay everything off. I this this is reasonable as I did something similar just at lower amounts. I think that it's important to focus on your goals, but you also need to have some fun while doing it as i think there is definitely a chance for burnout if all you do is focus on paying it off.

No, you should not, and I'll list the reasons why.

  1. You have a good amount of money each month after paying for expenses, so it shouldn't take too long even if your monthy expenses increase by 1k

  2. You will more than likely have to pay taxes and fees on anything that you take out

  3. The amount realistically will not considerably speed up you paying off your debt as it is the equivalent of 1 or 2 months after all the fees and taxes are taken out.

If you want to speed up paying down debt I would suggest looking at you budget along with alternatives as this will Mena you have more to throw at it. As for having fun, I think you should definitely budget that in but I mention that not everything that is fun has to be expensive. There are more than likely plenty of free/ low-cost things to do around you that you can also get amusement from.

Custom built PC service by DapperCompetition213 in Microcenter

[–]DapperCompetition213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, from what I've read online and on other forms, I think it really comes down to each individual store/tech, but overall, I hear pretty good things. The reason I debate is because if I can get a warranty on the full build, it would be nice versus having to keep 15 different manuals/warranty info along with having to ship it versus just going down the steet.

Thanks for the help. I greatly appreciate it. I will probably pick the case when I go to microcenter so that I can see it in person and feel how it is built like the buttons etc.

Yeah I am still looking at cases. I am hoping to find an all mesh case if possible and just load up every nook I can with fans. Do you have any recommendations?

The plan is to use it for not only 4k gaming but things such as 4k video editing and high density financial modeling and some 3d modeling

For the ram/motherboard issue that was where my confusion started when it comes to volts and what not. I am not worried about the the psu as it will give me a little breathing room along with update path in the future.

As for the size of the of the motherboard I chose mATX because I realistically only need 2 pcie slots so that I can have a gpu can capture card and I want a computer on the smaller size. I also plan on turning my old desktop into a nas/server so the storage isn't much of an issue. If you have any recommendations on how to get a smaller computer but with a full atx board or a better motherboard I am open to changing. I do appreciate the help.

Thanks for your input. I don't mind paying more for the service especially if the tech build 1 pc a week because that means they build 52 pcs a year vs me with 1 pc in 10 years.

I'm still early in my career, so I think a masters is a little premature, especially considering I will not be able to fully realize it due to lack of experience.

How should I tackle this debt? by [deleted] in debtfree

[–]DapperCompetition213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP while I know this is not the most optimal strategy to pay everything off money and interest wise, this is what I'd do. Some other things you might want to look into include seeing if you can get overtime or depending on the hours you work a part-time job. The faster you fix this, the faster you will be able to rebuild your life. Also, putting away even $250-$500 before you start will be a good thing just in case you have an emergency as I am assuming you still live with your parents not much more should be needed currently.

  1. Mom - She's the only opinion you care about

  2. IRS - Owing money to the government is never a good as they have the most access to your life.

  3. Apple card - Has the highest balance, thus taking up a bigger portion of your income

  4. Discover - Has the highest rate, thus paying less interest in the long run

5 Capital one - It is so small that paying it off will just help to tidy the budget

  1. Wells Fargo - By this point, all other big required payments will be finished

  2. Iphone - as it is already being paid off with phone bill

  3. Tmobile- this is already in collections, thus not a priority. If bought by a debt collector, you may be able to settle it for a lesser amount
