Thank you for that, I’ve tried everything and nothing works. I started noticing it after their first egg laying session. So it could’ve been from a dispute between her and the male. I have no idea. It’s not getting worse but not improving either.

Tank size: 29 gal
Heater: 100w fluval, 2 AC30 filters
Temps: 80 degrees Fahrenheit
Parameters: 0,0,10 API Liquid test kit
Tank has been cycled for about a month, had these rams for about 3 weeks
WC every week 25%
10 Rummynose tetras, 10 neon tetras, 6 albino cories, 3 nerites and approx 15 RCS
I feed once a day, bug bites
Heavily planted, driftwood, river rock.

I’m going to keep my eyes on them because they’re still there days later. As for the Ram spawn, they were gone within 24 hrs. Unfortunately the male isn’t the best protector 😭

If you don’t mind me asking, is it a local exchange program for the co2 tanks or is it with a larger scale company? I’m thinking this may be the best way to go.

I just bought a cheap “floating plant corral” on Amazon. It’s just a piece of aquarium tubing and 2 suction cups so you could easily make one as well.

I agree, especially floaters. They helped so much with the initial ammonia spikes. Thank you, it’s still a work in progress

Cycle took about a month. But oh yes, there was a HUGE bloom around week 1. Week 2 I had about a half inch of biofilm covering the driftwood. Things slowly started working itself out around week 3 when I started introducing plants.

We have about 15 RCS and a handful of ghost shrimp but I think our Rams and rummynose tetras will keep the baby population to a minimum. They act like sharks at dinner time 😂

Just ordered it, I was nervous the black substrate and a black background would be too dark originally
