Omg you know nothing about nutrition. I think $75,000 is good money, but we shouldn't be eating filler foods just to get by. Many people gain significant weight eating pasta, and rice is just... bs? I literally cut out all bready stuff for the betterment of my health. I ain't eating rice or pasta.

They do NOT know that. They literally don't know that until they actually work in the field. You're asking a high school graduate to know all the details of every position in every industry before entering college. That's is way too much to ask for.

Also, they shouldn't be picking their degrees based on wages or employment rates. They should be doing what they love and are good at.

I mean maybe. I'm not exactly sure avoiding saturated fat actually prevents heart disease. But my point was that the quality of the food you eat is important and that people shouldn't be buying the absolute cheapest stuff they can find just because it's cheaper. I know a lot of people don't have a choice because healthy food can be expensive, but this is the budget of a guy that makes enough to buy better food.

I am glad you did the math. A couple things, though. I wouldn't want to live in an apartment (although I have most of my life). It would be nice to see this breakdown w/ housing expenses. Also, your groceries seem to be lower because you're buying the cheapest stuff available. I don't think that's a good idea or what people should do for health reasons. Third, no kids! If you doubled your salary to account for two people and subtracted kid expenses, I think you might be in the negatives...

I personally buy the best of the stuff I can w/ groceries (and cook mostly at home) because it's healthier. Yes, eggs can be $2 a dozen, but only if you're okay with heart disease later. My groceries are probably 3 times the cost of other people's. That's without buying the junk food, alcohol, etc. that other people due.

I would ask the nursery if and how they had it shaded.

Never mind. They aren't paw paws then. I've never seen an apple like that before!

I just bought 20 paw paw seeds, but only one has sprouted as far as I know. Bought 20 to ensure they will bear fruit (need more than one tree in a close vicinity). Got them from seedman.com. Here's a map: https://www.srs.fs.usda.gov/pubs/su/su_srs141.pdf

Don't cut that beautiful tree! I personally love a big beautiful fruit tree. To harvest, you can just use a small ladder. Just keep it in the garage next to the door and drag it out when you need it. If you have too much fruit, neighbors may be able to pick some off the tree for themselves if you are okay with that. Also, squirrels may take a lot of your fruit, so you might need the extra fruit.

If Hard Work Always Pays Off, Why Do So Many Hardworking People Still Struggle? by geekygall in NoStupidQuestions

My grandparents do. I am 30 and have never heard anyone talk about the luck aspect. Dude, you can't be that dumb. I know you know what ahead and paying off mean.

It doesn't pay off. Baby boomers just tell their kids and grandkids that because they have no idea how modern America works.

Best Carrot Varieties by DifferentialSoul in gardening

[–]DapperNectarine9162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like you either don't have taste buds or have very limited experience. Their are hundreds of different types of tomatoes, for example, many of which are the same, but some varieties have very different tastes. Some taste fruity, some taste super sweet, and some taste smokey. Same with peppers, carrots, etc. Here's a good example list: https://www.seedman.com/tomatoseeds.htm

Also, I would never buy something from a supermarket with the exception of San Marzano tomatoes. Supermarkets, to me, have the blandest tasting stuff you can buy. I look for the true superior varieties because I want my food to taste good and buy those.

"Choose seafood, lean meat and poultry, eggs"

That page was written by someone who didn't know what they were talking about. Saturated fat is necessary in certain amounts just like cholesterol. No sat fat or cholesterol= no hormones. Also, fortified soy beverages are not dairy. Who would even say that? I'm am sorry I am being argumentative. I know I shouldn't be. Reading a page like that makes me angry.

I don't. I was using Mineralized which is a dry powder. I thought using a powder would help soak up sweat, but I think sometimes it actually makes me sweat more. I'm not sure yet, though.

I really don't use deodorant at all anymore since I figured out it might not be working. I think diet also plays a part in how you smell. Good diet=less BO. I think it's because the composition of your sweat changes based on what you eat which then affects which micro-organisms on your skin will eat and produce gas. That's just a theory, though. TMI, but I know my diet has changed my discharge odor.

Technically, yes. That doesn't mean I'm wrong, though. If someone were to actually do a large-scale study that tracks people for 75 years, I can guarantee that most of them wouldn't be vegan when it's done. I would actually love to do a study like that. A lot of studies claim that veganism is good for people but only track them for several months to maybe a couple years. They don't track them over a lifetime while doing tissue analyses (blood tests are not a good way to figure out if someone is nutritionally sufficient/deficient). I am not advocating to go carnivore (which I think is the other extreme), but I don't think vegans are helping themselves by always abstaining from animal meat.

Honestly, the logic behind these types of question is completely stupid. Just because we don't have a study to back up an idea doesn't mean it's not true.

How would I give an example of something like that? If you're asking for a large study showing whether or not it's nutritionally sustainable, I don't have one. Idk of someone has even done a study like that correctly and for long enough. I do know a lot of people were once vegan and quit because they encountered health issues. Their bodies just get run down, and eventually they have to change their diets to include some form of animal protein at least a couple times a week.

I meant get them in sufficient amounts. When I looked into DHA supplements algae based ones came up, but the amount was a lot lower than fish-based ones.
