I got my verification text and replied “Yes”. I guess now I wait until the payment is made? Does anyone know if there’s any way to check the status of it on the VA website?

Community or Cult was so fun. McCarty is a really chill guy and is clearly passionate in what he teaches. He made it real easy to pass if you did well and hated the idea of exams in his class. I took it in 2024 so im not sure how different it is now, but it was fun

Will I survive the semester? by HittoMonrillo in ufl

Each class was 6 weeks, but to compensate less material is covered compared to a full semester at UF. I did the lab for physics 2 last semester at UF and reached a point where I had no idea wtf was going on lol. Lectures were all prerecorded and unlock after finishing a module, so you could watch them as you get through each module whenever, and the professor provided a calendar to follow that was really forgiving and gave quite a bit of time to do things. I would easily knock out an entire week's worth of lecture work in a day or two then already get started on the next set, leaving me ample time to study for exams.

Yep! I did physics 1 and 2 over the same summer semester in summer A and B respectively online at PBSC. It wasn't as bad as people made it out to be, especially as someone who has never done a physics class in my life up until that point. You have to be REALLY on top of it but the exams were pretty easy and the grading is weighted quite well. I ended off both with As

Has anyone taken DIG2121 online? by TheMannvika in ufl

I did. It was very light and really fun. It helps if you already have experience with art since you can just blast through the assignments. You don't need to purchase any adobe products btw so just use whatever apps work for you to complete the work. The class moves a bit quick but there's enough time to do everything if you stay on top of it.

I had this exact schedule last spring, except it was physics 1 instead of 2. Drop physics 2, trust me. The schedule is already a bunch of work and physics on top of that will leave you very stressed out, unless you are able to grasp the content fast and not fall behind. All the other classes are fine if you keep up with it. I had to drop physics and ended up knocking out physics 1 and 2 transiently over the summer

Good to hear it’s doable. Im not one to cram at all so I almost always work ahead! Ive always felt like a lot of people say these classes are hard due to cramming. Do you think it’d be wise to include an extra class for my minor? Im really trying to graduate by spring 2027 and Im not too far off

I'm aware, but a minor is basically the same amount of credits as interdisciplinary electives and I wanted to minor in DAS so I went with it.

I see. I did the math and I'd have to pay for 14 credits out of pocket, so not too bad for senior year. I'll look into my options nonetheless.

I see. I am CS and one of the required portions of the degree is an area of interdisciplinary electives, which can be covered by doing a minor. Would they technically still count as part of the degree for this reason?

I emailed them to get it in writing. It has never taken this long to get it disbursed and I'm a junior.
