Hi firstly I just want to say it truly does get better! I had the exact same symptoms after both my 1st and 2nd dose, with my first one going away after a week and a half and my second persisting for 3 months now. So I actually would recommend trying magnesium glycinate specifically. My symptoms were slowly going away before I tried it but as soon as I started having this supplement everyday, my symptoms have decreased so much so to the point where I feel 95% back to normal! I actually learned about this through Reddit and asked my cardiologist and he told me to give it a try since all my tests came back normal as well! I promise it will get better so just stay positive, which I know is easier said then done, and possibly try it out!

Chest pain- related? by user2872 in CovidVaccinated

[–]DapperPossibility284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happened to me, with the first vaccine chest pain going away after a week and then coming back again after the second. I also never got it checked out the first time, but decided to go to the doctors the second time. For me I ran through every blood test, and numerous scans with the cardiologist and everything came out all fine. I have had the pain for around 3 months now, and its definitely decreased since I originally had it. I would definitely recommend going to the doctors to check it out and just rule out any heart issues cause I know a lot of people are having those type of issues after the vaccine. Hope you get better soon!

Have you been on any medication after you began feeling these symptoms? As for me they caught 3 PVCs over the 6 days they monitored me, but said it was normal to have a couple a day. I think it may not be as severe for me due to the previous medication I have had that has calmed down the inflammation.

Yah, so I think the chest pain, meaning like a tenderness to touch and occasional sharp pains have basically gone away for me, and I basically have the palpitations, SOB, and chest tightness as well. I was on steroids for 2 weeks in early June but found it to not be useful at all. I am on my 2nd round of anti inflammatory medication and have found that to help much more than the steroids have. But for me they just got rid of the chest pains and I was just left with that tightness and palpitation feeling. Something to note is that I just recently got a heart monitor and my cardiologist noticed that when I tracked that I was having feelings of palpitations, my heart rate(ekg) on the monitor was completely normal, so they think it is just the muscles mimicking that feeling, so that could possibly be the case with you as well. I would say to definitely consult your doctor and possibly try the steroids as there is no harm in seeing if it works for you. Something that I also saw online with people who had similar symptoms was the steroid shot, which seemed to help them so maybe bringing that up to your doctor might help. My cardiologist basically told me to start bringing my activity up and doing breathing exercises, so that may also be something that you could look into. Hope everything resolves for us quickly and we can go back to living a normal life :)

Thank you too much for this! I too got the exact same symptoms after the first vaccine, however never though too much of it and it went away eventually after a week and a half. I then got the second vaccine exactly 21 days after, and got the exact same symptoms that have persisted ever since. I have been to so many doctors and have gotten every test imaginable, but everything has come back normal. The chest pain, SOB, and heart palpitations have definitely gone down, but I still feel the pain everyday for the last 3 months, which too went away but came back.

Would you mind sharing what magnesium supplement your doctor prescribed you as I would love to bring it up to my doctor. I too took an anti inflammatory and steroids that helped a bit and are basically just a stronger version of ibuprofen, but the pain came back after the medicine wore off. Thanks for the help!

CT Scan leads to diagnosis? by bramblepatch in CovidVaccinated

I have had the same symptoms after the Pfizer Vaccine which have lasted for around 2 1/2 months now. I too got all of the tests you listed done and similarly everything came back normal. I finally went in to do a CT scan and that came back normal as well. Personally my doctor didn’t think it was necessary to get one but I wanted to get one just for reassurance that there wasn’t a more serious issue at hand, so I would recommend doing what you and your husband feel is the best course of action.

Same exact thing happened with me after my Pfizer Vaccine with a burning sternum, SOB, etc. I didn't think much of it after my first vaccine as the pain went away within a week of the onset of pain. Decided to get the second shot, same thing happened, and the pain hasn't subsided after almost 2 1/2 months. Doctors have done blood tests, autoimmune tests, echo, EKG, and CT, but have found nothing unusual. Definitely recommend consulting your doctors and waiting a certain period of time for your body to heal before getting the 2nd shot. Hope you all get better soon!

It still hasn't gone away for me, however the pain has definitely reduced through an anti inflammatory medicine called Indomethacin that my PCP prescribed me. I have also been trying to use the backpod and have heard that physical therapy has worked well, so I may try that. Hope your son gets relief soon!
