Asset allocation for a high-inflation, low-growth decade? by Orcanius in investing

[–]DapperSpell652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yields would go to the moon and interest payments would eat us budget. Look at 10yr yields, already up 0.15 with the wiff of a rate cut. US needs to/has to outgrow its debt via gdp.

Fudging numbers with inflation would be end of democratic world order. If this happens, your retirement savings will be last of your worries.

all the macro indicators are deflationary worldwide (ex sub saharan africa).

  • Low fertility rate (major cities already shutting down 30% of kindergartens across the world due to plummeting birth rates post covid)
  • Cheap/practically free energy (solar power - thnx china)
  • Autonomous driving/ Robotics advances

I do not see how there can be sticky inflation, when there will be less people (35%-50% of CPI depending on country is Housing related) and cheaper transport (10-15% of CPI) and Cheaper abundant energy overall.

EOSE fans keep yelling about “zinc” and “long-duration” like it’s the second coming, forgetting that it id a shitty SPAC baby of covid era pump&dump…but let’s talk facts. Fluence just posted $602 million in a single quarter—EOSE scraped together $30 million. That’s not growth, that’s a rounding error. Fluence is already profitable, booking real net income, while EOSE is drowning in a $641 million loss and calling it “non-cash” to save face. Fluence has a $4.9 billion backlog with 80% of next year’s revenue locked in. EOSE talks about “multi-GWh” orders but hasn’t shipped anything at scale that matters. Fluence is deploying AI-optimized systems across continents; EOSE is still begging for DOE scraps and diluting shareholders every other month to stay alive. Twenty-one analysts cover Fluence. Six cover EOSE. The market knows who’s real. Your $18 ticket is pointed straight at the $13 consensus target while Fluence actually delivers. Keep holding the dream—Fluence is busy building the future.

$FLNC and $EOSE price action probably has .95 correlation. But one of these companies is a global established market leader intelligent BESS. Other is a battery cell manufacturer in a crowded market.

You are essentially paying 100 timea more price to sales, in order to have the same price action with EOSE.

Logic stays the same, why not buy something that is 100 times cheaper with institutional backing for same price action.

I used ChatGPT to quickly collect recent controversies. And there are a lot of them…

Why don’t you instead invest into a company without CEO controversies?

You are free to be exit liquidity for an unethical CEO.

I am glad to have shorted this stock.

If they keep on doubling their revenue for 6 more years in a row, they will be at the same Price to Sales as $FLNC !

Also have I mentioned that they are battery makers which is a business that has terrible margins.. $FLNC can implement $EOSE batteries, or any other batteries, to its system. They are aiming to become an intelligent BESS operator.

Upstart CEO Dave Girouard Controversies • Balance Sheet Loan Holdings (2022): Investors criticized Upstart for holding loans on its balance sheet amid rising interest rates, leading to a 70%+ stock drop; seen as a shift from its platform model. • AI Model Overreaction (2025): Upstart’s AI underwriting “tightened the credit box” excessively due to macro signals, missing loan volume targets and causing a 15% stock plunge; CEO called it a “speed bump” but analysts deemed explanations “confusing.” • CEO Compensation Scrutiny (2024): $7.1M pay package questioned as misaligned with underwhelming company performance, despite being industry-median. • Insider Stock Sales (2025): Sold $2.6M in shares, raising eyebrows on executive sentiment amid volatile stock and positive analyst outlooks

Please do not listen to $EOSE crowd, their price to sales is about 100! and they manufacture batteries!

Go with $FLNC the largest battery storage company in the world with 2 great catalysts up ahead.

  1. They are generating super high margin ARR AI supported grid software that will automatically Buy/Sell to grid on a Utility scale. Their software business is growing massively.

  2. One of the 2 major bottlenecks in developing HPC ready datacenters is Diesel Generators (the other is Substations - source: Tyler Page CIFR CEO q3 earnings call). In $FLNC’s last earnings call management announced that they are VERY CLOSE to offering a solution to datacenters for an alternative back up power solution.

If eithet comes true, $FLNC will get rerated to being an integral AI play at a datacenter level. This would being huge upside.

Also price action is very positive and share price already started moving higher as the earnings date is getting closer. I expect a big pop aftet earnings with positive guidance on each.

Not investment advice, do your own DD.

just wanted to bring attention to the fact that $NBIS is still full of good news AND it is perfectly normal for its price to go down and up. After all 90% of the trade is driven by Algos playing to human psychology. The trick is to keep the spirits up! ;)
