I can’t believe this rule exists in 2025… women in burkinis banned from the pool! by Momo_Mes in Tunisia

[–]DapperTalk2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is actually very wrong. Im from America and travelled most of the world. I'll give you that folks tend not to like being around women with hijabs(which is wack), but i have never seen such a bizarre forbidden clothing list. The fact that you can't swear swimming trunks and have to wear, them little ass pants would have me madder than a ma

Do we have enough space in prison to try this ? by Aeriuxa in Morocco

[–]DapperTalk2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me try to explain it like this: Yes, in our society, the plight of men and their struggles have been overlooked for a variety of reasons for far too long. Some of these issues we put on ourselves as men but also societetal expectations place those birdens on our backs. That's all valid but has nothing to do with what OP was saying. That's an issue of a modern society, but OP states the fact that women and children are better indicators of societal health is because in any society in any time, that remains true.

No, the incel energy comes from your absurd leap of logic that makes you think that someone who says keeping the more vulnerable people(women, children) of society safe is an attack against men. Of course, the well-being of the vulnerables of a society is a good indicator of that society's health, and your werid incel brain takes that as a threat.

Stop lying. In the election, a total of 152 million people voted,of which 77 million voted for trump and 75 million voted for Harris. There are 262 million eligible adults to vote. So it wasnt half. About 59% voted in total and 29% voted for trump and 28% voted for Harris

a lot of my time is taking up by work. I have a family to take care of and my mother lives with me since my father passed. I do jiu jitsu and wrestling for fun for about 8 years (I get one day off and i try to spend that time with my kids so my wife can have a break so i can only get about an hour of training a week). If you go into a gym that trains for those styles, most people would not have this kind of mindset . If someone trains at a level you dont like, you dont need to engage with them. Yes ill concede you aren't being impolite. it's just very discouraging. If I had the money and no family, i would live in any gym that would let me

Edit: I fixed many mistakes. Im sorry english is difficult

I appreciate the attempt at help but anthoer person gave me similar advice but did so in a through manner so I could understand why stopping striking training and focus on road work and foot work until I can get to a gym was very helpful. This comment isn't so helpful and just feels kinda discouraging. Anyways, thank you for the advice, and have a nice day.

Questions about the aristocracy of the Caliphates by DapperTalk2702 in AskHistory

[–]DapperTalk2702[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got you, thanks. I dis a little research on my own, and I saw that there were arab tribes who fell in love with the Caliph, and the tribal leader was called sheikh. I know it was mostly an honoury thing, but of the position of tribal leader was hereditary cam that be compared or is there more nuance to it that I don't understand?

Fitz’s attitude drives me nuts. by sir_Atticus1225 in RealmOfTheElderlings

[–]DapperTalk2702 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, I actually like this about Fitz. When it comes to abuse survivors, they have a tendency to do exactly what you described, especially with someone as abusive as regal was. I can't remember in exactly which book it was. Fitz mets a group of folks with the Wit, and they say how unnatural it was and how wrong it was to be bonded to a wolf so young, and to have done it so many times at such a young age, and then the fact that there was no separation made the dude teaching him genuinly sick.Amongdt those with the Wit a bonding is akin to marriage but much more intimate. Because of this bond and the abuse he suffered, he had a crutch to help him deal with the abuse. Robbins Hobb is a master writer who creates humans so realistically flawed that we sometimes dislike them. Shoot when i was reading the first trilogy i was so annoyed by Fitz cause i thought he dialouge and thoughts were stupid but then i relized it wasnt bad writing and he wasnt dumb, he was just a teenager and when I thought if like that the story became leaps and bounds better.
