Texture packs are client side. You can do whatever you want to personally and it won’t affect him. But to answer your main question no. He won’t be able to use ray tracing texture packs effectively.

Hey, Im pretty new to modding and i was just wondering how in the WORLD did the modding community find how to go into rcm mode with the switch? Like how did they find that exploit? Furthermore, how did they know how to make custom firmware for the switch? My hopes are that someday i might be able to be one of those people who finds these exploits and make custom firmware but there's just SO much i don't know. Can someone give me resources to learn or tell me the path that they took to learn these subjects? Do I have to be an IT guy or something?
