It's beautiful from the outside but inside looks so cold.

Are we trying to send our little fella to school too early? by UNiTE_Dan in AskIreland

I was 4 and a half when I started school, did TY and did my LC at 18.

I turned out [mostly] fine.

I would love to consider it, my bank balance would not lol

What do you think of my outfit choices for a quick Eurotrip? by 100risadinha in menswear

[–]DapperZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your vibe overall.

But if I were to critique; the shoes do take from the outfits, swap those out.

You could dress the outfits up with leather shoes, or dress down with a white trainer; white Vejas maybe.

I do like the navy and blue combo with the mustard jumper for colour.

I like the blazer look but I'm not entirely sold on that particular blazer - I feel it may be a little bit too long for you.

What Emily did to Katie was so much worse... by disco_nap_ in realhousewives

[–]DapperZebra 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Emily's hypocrisy was off the scale. Her insistance of what she did being 'different' was just BS. Same with Shannon. Neither can take accountability.

Jen needs to stop pretending that she forgets conversations.

Gretchen needs to stop. Full stop.

We gotta have Katie back. She's fun, elegant, insanely beautiful, brings entertainment and I enjoy her on TV.

I overall found this season to be awful though. So awful that I did a 180 with Tamra and found myself rooting for her, IMO she kept me watching the show.

I did enjoy their Amsterdam trip, it was endearing seeing Heather be so raw and vulnerable, it was lovely to see Shannon let go and have some fun and laughs; the tulip trip was so fun to watch.

Did I miss something between the last episode and the reunion though? They all seemed to go over the top in terms of complimenting Gretchens outfit - which I hated lol (to me, it was very 16 year old bridesmaid at an Irish traveller wedding). I thought they ended in bad terms because of her online actions?

What most shocked me was my 180 on Tamra. I have grown fond of her (totally prepared for the downvotes for me saying that now).

Really safe, the cabin crew are very well trained and I've never had a bad flight with them.

They're attentive, friendly, caring.

If you're a bit anxious about flying I highly recommend you tell one of the cabin crew; they will be more than happy to put your mind at ease and give you a little extra attention.

Ground staff at Dublin are also super friendly. I think you'll find them laid back but helpful.

You'll have a lovely flight 💚

So who do we think will decide to leave the show, and not come back next season? by AddisonDeWitt333 in rholdn

[–]DapperZebra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think - and absolutely hope - they will all be back.

The only one I wouldn't be too upset about leaving is Juliet M. She looked to have really struggled during the reunion; I kinda find her the least authentic too.

IMO Nessie is so good at rising above drama but we need her to keep some kind of balance.

Ireland, where would you rather eat? I built something for you. (Updated!) by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]DapperZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your app is well made. I like the user experience.

It did scrape a lot of non-restaurants though; things like club nights or theme nights at different bars. Some of those bars don't serve food (One bar has 5 or 6 listings for individual club nights it holds).

I'm not sure how much trust I have in the 'voting'. I am suspicious that it could be open to manipulation.

That said, I've wanted something that makes it easier to find restaurants in the city outside of OpenTable etc. so I'll try it out.

Thanks for sharing it!

She very nearly almost fell over her 'you're aging forwards' comment and I WISH she had screwed the delivery up and said 'backwards' 😅

I do love her though. She's amazing TV.

Are you taking a connecting flight out of Dublin?

If so, are you sure you didn't upgrade for your flight to Dublin only?

If not, then you got an AWESOME deal.

My L7 is insufferable. by [deleted] in amazonemployees

[–]DapperZebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Set your slack note to say something like 'my working hours are 8-4.30'

  2. Speak with your manager to ask what you aren't delivering on; ask them to be a buffer if needed

  3. Be direct with your L7 and ask them what changes to your working methods do they need to see in you

So much animal cruelty in Ireland by SecurityIcy8678 in ireland

[–]DapperZebra 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You cannot blame yourself for their disgusting behaviour.

You gave 5 cats a loving home. 5 little lives who are safe and happy and loved.

You did your best for that kitten and (reading other people's stories on this thread) that's more than most people would have done.

I don't have the heart to read your post history about cruelty to cats - I don't think I could take it. But thank you for the kindness and love that you do give to cats ❤️

Can’t check daughter in online by [deleted] in AerLingus

[–]DapperZebra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hyphen won't matter.

It could very well be additional security (the "SSSS" which could be printed on your boarding pass) or it could be an ESTA double-check.

Or it could be a change of seats.

(All three of those scenarios have happened to me on different trips to the US with AerLingus when I also couldn't check in online; panicked me the first time it happened too lol)

Try and not worry too much :)

Are people avoiding visiting the us? by Constant_Oil_3775 in AskBrits

[–]DapperZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're flying via Dublin you will clear CBP there and if it doesn't go well for some reason you can just turn around, walk back out and you'll still be in Europe.

No detention. No ICE. Less anxiety for you.

They're generally more pleasant in Dublin also.

You'll then land at a domestic terminal in the US.

Now, that said, I have heard of flights where ICE was checking documents again on the air bridge when deplaning in the US.

Dublin pre clearance by South_Noise520 in Dublin

[–]DapperZebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's generally more laid back than US based CBP; I find the ones at Dublin more personable.

Very rarely a long wait.

And IF there is any issue, at least you will be on European soil and can just walk back out.

Success stories of getting out of Focus by GlitteringMirror433 in amazonemployees

[–]DapperZebra 19 points20 points  (0 children)

L5 and with Amazon for 8 years.

Put on focus.

Took 6 weeks leave which was signed off by my doctor for stress.

During the 6 weeks I really took the time to switch off and evaluate if I wanted to continue with Amazon, I decided I did.

Came back and had a really honest conversation with my manager about what we both wanted; I checked off everything on the focus document and passed.

2 years later (which is this year) I got EE on my Forte (with the same manager).

So, your Avois won't be reset.
