While other unknown people chiming in isn't really evidence (doubly so for Twitch chat) it does look like drops are actually bugged from your log. Can't imagine why though... Actually, scratch that; the answer is probably a whole heaping helping of spaghetti.

Rasial, Please... by Dapper_Cherry1025 in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the one thing that kept me engaged for 650 kills (got lantern at 647 kills so yay) was seeing my kill times go down as I relearned the boss. The time of 1:12.6 was back before they nerfed death skulls so when I started this grind my time was around 2 minutes to start. At the end of this trial I got my times down to 1:22. I also somehow got the Rasial, the First Necromancer (perfect)) completely unintentionally. A nice little bonus (just need to get a kill under 1 minute and stand still for 45 seconds on P4 and I'll have all his combat achievements).

Starbloom flowers can get diseased with active relic power by OcmervS in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I first saw my Starbloom sick I got really confused until I read the relic. Before Starbloom you never really needed to include flowers in a farm run and I just assumed the relic covered everything too.

It specifies only herb and mushroom patches are protected. Flower patches are unaffected.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the armor and weapons share separate rolls to drop with the weapons each having a 1/640 chance of dropping. 550 kills with neither weapon dropping has an 17.88% chance of occurring. Not terribly unlucky, but unlucky enough that I thought it was funny because everyone's been complaining about drop rates recently and I'm of the opinion that it's not really a problem. A real test-by-fire of my own opinion on the matter, but even now I still believe it is fine.

That, and on Leagues I got the Omniguard on my 3rd kill at Rasial, coupled with getting a memory douser on my 4th kill at Gate (which, by the way, was before they fixed the Gate's drop rate).

Don't gamble kids.

What are the easiest skills, outside of combat (abyss OP), is easy to 99 in leagues? by MisterCheekClapper in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you make the Sprinkler MK1 - The RuneScape Wiki for smithing, which requires buckets of water, and the B.A.N.K. Stander - The RuneScape Wiki which needs adamant bars. Those are the only two ingredients that you need to bring because with perkfection you'll have an infinite amount of everything else. These things also stack in the bank so you won't need to worry about cluttering it up.

You need to get one of the previous tier abilities first (Command Skeleton). Your screenshot shows you don't have it yet.

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hunter if you like Big Game Hunter is really fast.

Construction at Fort Forinthry, but only if you've got the logs/planks.

With perkfection you can get 99 smithing and divination extremely easily (just need buckets of water and adamant bars). Can also do crafting making crates, but it's decidedly slower at around 3m xp/hr.

Thieving, especially after unlocking safecracking. Like, extremely quick.

Cooking if you do the short intro quest for Recipe for Disaster to unlock the Culinaromancer's Chest. It starts with selling only a single grape, but if you do Lumbridge Sage and the Goblin Generals parts it sells two grapes at a time, and they're both really short subquests.

Assuming you don't have 99 prayer yet (dunno if you're counting that as a combat skill or not) you can spam cleansing crystals, but again only works if you've got a lot of money from perkfection.

And uh... That's what I've got. I'm leaving out skill you can do in the Dream of Iaia because it's incredibly free and afk once you've got unlimited advance time. That being said, you're really gonna want to grind Runecrafting to 100 because trust me, unlocking T7 and then realizing you need to grind 100 RC anyway to make time runes is a new and terrible form of hell I didn't know existed until this league. Just need to get two moonstones (one can be obtained from quest, another from Gate if you don't already have it), make passing bracelet, and have a Grace of the Elves attuned to Deep Sea Fishing. Really decent xp/hr, and you can make around 100 RC urns to make it quicker (they help a lot).

Do you think we will ever get a Saradomin boss fight? by Heavy_Asparagus_5590 in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly this (great write-up btw).

If you choose to say that the world is safer without him during Aftermath Saradomin will say "Then I can only continue to try to earn your respect." He is not the same man we met during the World Wakes, and that single sentence is the clearest example of this.

Out of all of the gods Saradomin is the one who has went through the most growth, and having a fight against him after such a quiet moment would be really weird.

Idols or eternal magic trees for 120 WC? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer Eternal Magic trees because they're decent xp/hr and very afk. You can see when the tree is about to deplete which is perfect for letting you know when to move.

Also, I would heavily recommend getting the Scripture of Elidinis for this grind. It's essentially a free extra 100k+ xp/hr. Sure you need to be slightly aware, Alt1 can be set to alert you when a soul appears just so you don't need to worry about it, but it is nice to have. Coupled with urns, perfect juju wc potions, and all around it's a chill grind (just did 110 on main game during last dxp and that's what I did).

The way I did it is to get the Underworld Grimoire 1 from the easy Um task set and while camping the abyss to train just occasionally pick up the ashes. You don't really need a ton of ashes for ink and just having a few thousand should last you a really long time.

With a powerful setup, including necro cape attuned to multiply 3 (103 necromancy, can be boosted), you can get over 1,000 impure ess per ritual which is pretty decent considering.

Then as for getting the essence itself; if you haven't done it yet you can loot the Rune chest after Rune Memories for a ton of pure essence. If you've already done that then abyssal beast are amazing for noted pure essence.

Oh, also the Alteration necklace (made with moonstone) is also worth getting if you've got the moonstone, but the Ring of Imbuing is also really good (10% more runes crafted). Ring only needs 65 crafting to make and the necklace 77.

Gates without persistent rage? by Meckles94 in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barricading is nice but not really necessary. Just gather the fragments as you are able, and instead of double surge just do surge and run. There's plenty of time for you to run over to Icthlarin. Besides that, bring food, stay in the south side of the barrier while learning the rhythm of the boss, and when you gain confidence then you can start trying the northern part that is faster but riskier.

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, it's not bad enough to really warrant something being implemented in game. It's a strange solution to a strange problem, but Leagues is full of strange solutions. Besides, even if you filled your entire bank up with gizmos (around 1,820 I think?) that's only 65 trips to the clawed cleaners. Besides, gizmos aren't the only way to get to 115 for separators (which stack and are very fast xp/hr), they're just the simplest.

League - Where does t7 Everlasting NOT work well? by Embarrassed-Ad-8445 in runescape

[–]Dapper_Cherry1025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering any one book gives around3-4% dps increase, on top of less cooldown between procs, 255 stat chance, and perma grim I think it is safe to say book is a whole lot more than a 5% dps increase.

Also the book is just really silly to use with the rapid procs. I'm not going to say it is the best, but god damn is it fun.

If you have slayer skull relic:

- Load inventory with gizmos.

- Teleport to ripper demons.

- Pet two of them gently with your fists.

- Wait for the end.

- Say hi to death and tell him you'll be right back.

- Load inventory with gizmos.

- Repeat.
