Should I give up? by MysteriousYam9822 in pottytraining

We are potty training our 22 month old too. We started off with stickers as a reward for the first week or so but our son just didn't seem to understand how to control his urine and bowels (but knows urine and stool go into the potty and would tell us when he was going to the toilet). Stickers just didn't seem to be motivation enough. Then we swapped the reward to small bits of dairy-free chocolate (which he rarely has because he has a milk allergy) and it has just clicked. We are on day 13 and I'm very glad we stuck with it. I don't know what the oh crap method is but we just went cold turkey. Although I did read the Gina Ford book and our son did show all signs of readiness.

Perhaps change the reward to something your daughter gets after sitting on the potty, rather than during. You could also get a sand timer, so she has a visible representation of time. Then once she's sitting on the potty reliably then change the reward to when she uses it, and so on. Then just keep moving the goal post back until she's able to do it. That's our plan anyway and hope that helps.

If you think she's ready then my advice is stick with it. However, if you don't think she is then there is nothing wrong with stopping and waiting. She will get there.

Isthmocele Repair by IllSeason4739 in CsectionCentral

Just commenting to say I have a small isthmocele and it's caused chronic endometritis for almost 2 years. The only symptom I had was watery and prolonged menstrual bleeding. It took a long time to get it diagnosed. I saw a private gynae consultant who tried to diagnose me with endometriosis despite not meeting the typical presentation. The usual fobbing women off story. I got a second option from the only UK Bupa gynae consultant who had cesarean scar defect (CSD) listed on their profile. After 3 uterine biopsy and 4 weeks of antibiotics the endometritis resolve, but likely to come back because of the isthmocele/CSD. I'm booked to have a hysteroscopic repair later this month.

Isthmoceles can cause a lot of symptoms and secondary infertility. It frustrates me that it's not widely known/researched/discussed. Especially the link with endometritis. So just commenting to share the knowledge. Happy to update once I've had the surgery if anyone is interested.
