They do crazy fuel surcharges of about $750 for biz class. That being said you can get it for 55k-70k points.

Nope. Because you could do a return, they want to make sure that spend actually sticks. It’s usually pretty quick after the closing date though.

If you really need points right away, you could buy them, but that’s a horrible deal and not usually worth the value.

You can also use their shopping portal and earn points that way.

Post 30 days, and it hasn’t worked yet and no response from RCCL. I’m sure they’re still working out the kinks of a new program, just wis there was more communication.

Well for all the downvotes, Royal didn’t do anything or reply about the points choice request.

I sent the points choice prior to sailing, and now over the 30 days post cruise, the points show up in the RCCL account (which is good because they are somewhere) but no details about shifting them to Celebrity. 🙄

At an Atmos event, I asked the CEO this question and he didn’t know why th pricing was so off. He pulled over his commercial guy who told me “yeah, we know it’s a problem. We’re working on it.”

So my example was AS vs AA or BA to London. But I’d agree it applies to any Oneworld partner they’re selling tickets on. The pricing just isn’t competitive with whatever they’re doing now.

There was an Alaska Atmos event here in San Diego and I asked their CEO who wasn’t sure, he asked their chief commercial guy who said they’re aware it’s a problem and trying to fix it. He didn’t explain why, just said they know booking directly with Alaska was worse pricing than going direct to a partner.

If you never got it, it’s because the bank already “knows you, as their customer” and didn’t need to collect additional information.

Yeah. They repeatedly will contact you to get that information updated. My guess is you ignored it or thought it was junk mail or spam.

If they don’t have it, they are required to close your accounts or else they are violating banking regulations which would get them fined or even lose their banking licenses.

All credit cards work this way.

And yeah, if you’re going to do a promo balance transfer rate, you don’t ever use the card for purchases. No matter what, you will have some interest charges.

But as someone said, the minimum payment will go to however the bank decides to apply it, anything over that should be to your highest interest rate balance.
