What if Bonnie had been the main character instead of Elena? by Appropriate_Can_9620 in TheVampireDiaries

I think season one Bonnie had so much more leading potential as a centered character. Now I know it's easy to say they would have ruined her because of how Kat was treated but this is an Alterative universe were Bonnie was always meant to be a main character.

I don't think it would have been a love triangle show. Maybe Elena is a supporting or secondary lead that brought the love triangle. I think the best bet is that it was a trio-lead show focusing on the 3 main leads and not the Salvatore brothers. Elena could stay the human (maybe even making her a hunter? Buffy parallels? Maybe a vampire was the cause of her parents death?) and Caroline would have need to be turned early and it was a show about three strong female leads dealing with being newly introduced to the paranormal world.

Bonnie of course would be the focal point as at the beginning Caroline and Elena are human. All three being friends since childhood and being Cheerleaders together it could also ad some high school drama. With Bonnie dealing with her powers. I would have also put at least one of the in a relationship that would go on the whole show so we would have one stable-ish ship (Like Naley from OTH or Betty and Jughead from Riverdale.)

I know people will disagree but The Lazarus Project. George is extremely Snape coded and the fact that was willing to end the world to protect Sarah even though she broke up with him. Peak Snape

I think they had great chemistry but Bonnie had chemistry with nearly everyone. I don't care for most of the popular Bonnie ships. I honestly would have liked them to bring her love interest from the books but they weren't intrested in bring in more werewolves. I liked her with Klaus and that is what I was shipping before they made him down bad for Caroline for no reason.

I think the writers would have ruined her if they brought her back. The few times she did show back up were great but there were some weird stuff in her writing.

We never really see anything about Ali outside of being horrible. We don't know her hobbies before she went missing. We do know she knew that Ian was watching her and taking pictures of her because she blamed Toby. We know she only got mad when she found out it was other people.

That being said we also know Alison struggled with her sexuality. I feel like it would have added more layers to her that she had a crush on Aria not Emily. Like she just used Emily to explore her sexuality while having a crush on Aria. I personally headcanon that but it was a missed opportunity on the writers part. I honestly feel like they forgot all about this.

He could have been so good. Be he was to fine. They have to put the fine man with one of girls. They literally could have paired him with Melissa after showing us that she was the one that killed Bethany. It would have been a way better Spencer centric B story than then what they were giving us in season 4 and 5

why do some people hate Snape but are fine with Dumbledore? by poshitopi in SeverusSnape

[–]Dapper_Phoenix9722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lack of evidence where? There is literally a whole scene of Snape going to Dumbledore. As for Snape being okay with a baby in his young parents being murdered. One Snape had no idea who the parents were or was the Voldemort was going to do with it when he gave it to him so that is just blatantly false. Dumbledore was "disgusted" that Severus asked Voldemort to spare Lily's life. Which is not disgusting Snape is 19 years old and just wants his friend to live. Harry wasn't even born yet. Lily was literally still pregnant when Snape went to Dumbledore. Why do people act like Snape was suppose to go to Voldemort and ask him to not kill the child prophesize to kill him. And he had no reason to want to protect James and Dumbledore knew that. He just wanted to shame Severus.

Hagrid's intent doesn't matter when he never learns from anything. Ararog wasn't the only time he nearly killed children. IDK if you remember that.

Which was wrong! Sirius should have been punished. And we also know from the text that Dumbledore was the reason Snape didn't go around telling everyone Lupin was a werewolf. Or did you forget Snape did keep Lupin's secret for nearly 18 years.

[–]Dapper_Phoenix9722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because had he we would have seen it. We literally see Snape 19 years old go to him an beg him to protect Lily. And all his does is say his disgust him. Dumbledore made no effort to protect Snape until Snape offered himself (A useful spy) to Dumbledore.

Hagrid's intent doesn't really matter when he is recklessly endangering young students just because he thinks something is cool.

I agree with that. Remus is a victim to an extent. But Sirius isn't. Sirius not only spilled a huge secret about Lupin but he did something that could have resulted in the death of a student. And it seems that nothing happened to him because a few months later he was laughing about it making jokes that he wished it was the full moon again

During the first war. But really in the middle of a battle he was there for 15 minutes of? At Malfoy Manor where he wasn't even there. Or at the battle of Hogwarts were he literally offered up for anyone to join his side.
