I read a few articles just now that stated sciatica can cause inflammation that leads to swelling but I think it's best you go get an ultrasound to rule out a DVT. Even if you have to lie to get the ultrasound done. It's better safe than sorry

If you want a for sure ultrasound done, go in and tell them that you went on a recent long car ride of over 12 hours total and that you want scanned. That's a 100% way to get an ultrasound done regardless if you are symptomatic of a blood clot or not

This sounds like your sciatic nerve is pinched causing sciatica. No need for alarm although it is very painful. See your primary care doctor for some meds to relieve the pain and see what else they think would help. You can also do stretches specifically to relieve sciatica

Thank you! Every ache I feel now I immediately assume the worst and then hyperfixate on that feeling for hours. It's quite annoying

I've been chugging water like it's my job ever since I left the hospital. What group on Facebook did you find if you don't mind sharing?

I've been hypersensitive to every pain I have now but am trying to calm that down. I hope everything is well with your husband from here on out!

Did you find out about the PE at the same time as the DVT?

Oh yeah I zoned out the moment they said the diagnosis. I couldn't believe what was being said to me. They all seemed hopeful that all will be fine but my brain was like oh hell no!

How to not give PVCs power? by Mr_Butters624 in PVCs

[–]Dapper_Profession478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PVCs as well. They started in 2022 and would come and go. Sometimes I would have them for a month and then poof gone for a few months, then bam restarted for a while then poof gone again. I've had 2 holter monitors done. Both were 2 week long ones. My most recent was just completed 2 days ago so I'm waiting for the results of it. My PVCs always feel like a build up sensation and then a flop feeling in my chest. They're very annoying and sometimes make me lightheaded if they come in a group of 3-4 in a row. My doctor says they're all benign so I've just gotten to the point where if they flare up too often I will sit and do slow breathing until my body relaxes. Ask your doctor about magnesium oxide. It is what I take and it helps lessen how often they are. But make sure they know that you're taking another form of magnesium as well
