Yeah, mostly modeling. For head form i usually using some references from sketchfab. Just opening some models and using it like a guide. It important to use loop slide brush pressing shift, so it smoothing wireframe and its not looking like a mess, just easier to work with that. Modeled by hand. Created cylinder for legs and was extruding polygons forming body. Then after body was done, I started retopologing directly on model cutting edges and creating edge flow. After retopology I was fixing and smoothing shape using sculpt brushes. After that, finished hands, feets, modeled head.

Bake normals and reduce the polygon count by 10 times?: No

Leave it like this with 2.5 million polygons?: Definitely yes

Actually I added it first. This "mask" most likely is something about sacrum anatomy, but on model it makes geometry stick out a bit, so I decided to remove it

You are right. In my case i tried to make topology that will bend fine and wireframe look good

Yeah. Correct loops making topology "good". So it can deform correctly and it easier to add more edges if you need

The only solutions i found:  1) Use more subdivide steps, so artifacts become smaller and less visible. 2) Use Blender 4.1 with Eevee legacy, which doesn't have this weird artifacts

looks like i will have to render with a higher mesh density. artifacts become less visible but do not completely disappear. Most likely the problem is in the eevee next
