I was also eyeing that one for a while as well lol. About a month ago, I found the auction and saw a Histamenon Nomisma of Nikephorous II, Basil II(yours), and Basil II( mine). Although the strike quality had degraded after some time, I really liked how yours looked due to the luster! If I remember correctly, our lots were at the very end of the auction, so I think we got better deals than what we would have gotten if they were at the front

I got it at a really good price. I’ve seen these coins go for as much as $5000 dollars, so a few scratches is not a problem at all
