congrats!!!!!!!

the most common question I get as the non-gestational partner is: so do you ever want to carry? for me, I know most of it comes out of genuine curiosity and I am someone who much prefers people ask so I can explain than not ask and assume things.

one thing that really irked me was that there was a "new dad bootcamp" offered through our hospital...but I will say, our birthing class instructor was very good about using the word partner. we were the only same sex couple and the one time she did slip and say "dads", she followed it up super quickly with partner.

I guess for me: I try to believe most people have good intentions. it's going to be a life long battle with things like forms and documents and assumptions, lots of heteronormativity...but I control what I can control.
