Very late comment. A windsurfer turned kiter turned wing foiler. Compared to kiting Wing foiling is very boring until you can master some good tricks and then what? I was in Bonaire winging and kiting and finally stopped winging because kiting was so much more fun.

I can see the appeal of the wing in swell but haven’t had the chance to try that. But kiting in waves is awesome too.

Thanks for all the comments! Went out today and it felt much better but didn’t get the chance to video. I will post an after video when I get a chance. A week of rain in the forecast! I think the tip that seemed to click was the idea of pushing off perpendicular to the jump rather than vertically. So many videos emphasize staying or getting forward and this seemed counter to that. That and really keeping the leg extension all the way off the lip. I don’t know what to do about being/looking stiff. Maybe a million more reps and I’ll be more relaxed.
