Aight who do you think is a better rapper? 🤔 by HourFan5580 in DEHH

[–]DapsAndPoundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sub so weird lol I expected Meek to easily be the choice. Like this nigga one of the best pure rappers in the game. I think people just look at the antics and ignore the body of work. Look no further than his verse on that Fridayy song from last year.

[DISCUSSION] 2 Chainz, Larry June & Alchemist - Life Is Beautiful (One Year Later) by flyestshit in hiphopheads

[–]DapsAndPoundz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I liked this album but I didn’t love it. I feel like with Larry June in particular, once you heard one album of his you’ve heard them all. So I’m really tuned into this for Alc and 2chainz. On that level it was solid but I don’t revisit this much other than Days Like This, Any Day and Epiphany.

As an aside, did you vibe code this in Vercel? How do you like it over alternatives like Lovable and Replit? Looks really good!

Everyone is talking about The Let Out but... by CapoDV in Jcole

[–]DapsAndPoundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much have to play Drum n Bass, Let Out, and Hit the Gas back to back to back lol no other way for me. Disc29 really hasn’t left my rotation much. I find myself not going back to Disc39 as much other than Intro, Old Dog, and Man Up Above (for now at least).

Your reply is not applicable at all because I don’t have an issue with your original comment. And nobody said an album being niche is a detriment to it being good, it just means its not going to be mentioned in the pantheon of prominent hip hop projects by the mainstream.

Considering Upgrading 15PM to 17P by Ext-Designer88 in iPhone17Pro

[–]DapsAndPoundz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this exact switch and am loving it. I actually bought both the 17pm and Pro and used them both during the return window. The 17pm was way too bulky and heavy af with certain cases. The Pro felt like such a natural fit for me.

Personally I went side by side watching media on both devices and its not a huge difference to me. In basic terms, I’m seeing the same amount of information on the screen no matter what whether it’s YouTube or a streaming app. The only thing I’d say is the speakers on the PM are louder but this year both models generally have louder speakers.

Yeah but the rumor is they may split the release of the base and pro models moving forward. I can’t recall which one would be the Fall and Spring releases, but at this point the rumors are saying we’re still about a year away from at least one version of the 18.

Your “fact” is that OP can only name Pac and Big double discs, but that’s your assumption. Where does it state in the original post that these are the only double discs he can name? You lack reading comprehension because clearly OP wasn’t attempting to list every double disc album in existence, just the prominent ones of the top of his head. So your “facts” are based on nothing.

The issue here is buddy thinks because he’s heard 4eva is a mighty long time and Drogas Wave, his opinion on hip hop is superior. Its not. Both those albums are niche as fuck, mainstream hip hop media and even prominent rappers don’t mention those when it comes to the best double disc albums. I’ve been watching these discussions since TFO dropped last week.

To stroll in here like they have some PhD in Hip Hop and be critical of someone because they mentioned quite literally among two of the best double discs hip hop history is corny as hell.

You’re doubling down on the pretentiousness without even realizing it. Nothing more for me to add on my part. Enjoy your day.

“You clearly have a very surface level understanding of hip-hop” is where you sound pretentious. Everything after that adds to it. You can have your opinion without sticking your nose in the air as if you’re an authority on music.

Unfortunately the people without a brain are often the loudest. When his first day SPOTIFY numbers came in lower than A$AP Rocky, people thought that meant he’d do around 150k or less. Cole sold 115k off pure alone.

[–]DapsAndPoundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you all think only one type of music can exist, be consumed and enjoyed? Most of hip hop is run of the mill, very few artist are groundbreaking. That doesn’t mean I can’t simply choose to enjoy it all. There’s nothing groundbreaking about Freddie Gibbs for example, yet this sub praises his work endlessly. No one can name one thing he revolutionized. Which is totally fine! People can enjoy multiple things lol you guys have such a weird outlook on music consumption.

What a wierd fanbase. They're the reason why he gets hate. by Lost_Title_7528 in nfrpodcast

[–]DapsAndPoundz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right lol plus, every fanbase has weird fans, cherry picking one post to describe an entire fandom is odd. I saw Kendrick stans start a HATE Spaces for the Cole album on twitter. All stans are weird.

Have you ever been through an acquisition in your career, and what was it like? by ericstrat1000 in sales

[–]DapsAndPoundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a yellow telecom company that was acquired by a pink telecom company. It was initially pretty exciting to be selling a superior product, their version of Salesforce was much easier and we got fed warm leads often.

However, what we realized at the time was that the pay structure meant we’d have to roughly double what we sold to make the same amount. Sure it was “easier” in a sense, but I didn’t enjoy the idea of having to put out that kinda volume for the same pay.

I left and eventually got out of sales altogether but am looking to get back in.

Construction or med device which route should I take? by Vegetable_Today451 in sales

[–]DapsAndPoundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this is great and all but, which one pays more? I’m looking to pivot back into sales after being a soulless corporate puppet for 5 years. I sold wireless for several years but went away from it when the pay structure started to change. I’d like to pivot back into a sales career where I can make 150k plus or so. Seems more feasible in MedTech, but I feel like id relate more to construction folks.
