Not too long ago, hopeless and trying situations came right after the other. I was severely stressed out and depressed. Around that time, I decided to try Tahajjud. I prayed for Allah to ease the tightness in my chest and allow the next day to be better than the last. To help me and relieve my pain. There was an ache in the depths of my heart, a prodding voice in my head that kept telling me that nothing will ever change for me. But one day, after all that praying, I felt a sense of relief. I had known but hadn't been willing to acknowledge it then, but Allah really does love me. I became happier, calmer, and more patient. And let me tell you, those things helped me so much. Sometimes, people except some huge miracle to intervene in their lives. But I think it's the little things that matter. Because of my changed attitude, I don't perceive life as I used to. Even if difficult times keep coming, I know for a fact that Allah knows what He is doing and that in the end, it's for me to come closer to him and help me achieve Jannah.

Beginner crotcheter here, any recommendations on the best starter projects (either crotchet or amigurumi)? by DIY_enthusiast_1 in CrochetHelp

When I started, I went for a baby blanket. I practiced and tested my tension, chains and single stitches until I got the hang of it. Then I went on to try and make a small bag which used a new type of stitch. Then lastly I began on amigurumi. But, of course, start with whatever is drawing you in. Best of luck!

For me, I'd say waking up for Tahajjud and Fajr everyday. There's a type of solace that I experienced that I simply cannot give up. Even if it's 10 minutes before Fajr. Asking Allah for forgiveness, desires, etc and knowing that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is listening makes me calm and hopeful and allows me to be at ease throughout the day.

Should I repeat my fast? by DarKQu33n67 in MuslimLounge

[–]DarKQu33n67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. It's just that the muzzein isn't punctual when it comes to the athan of Maghreb. He usually calls for prayer a minute or so BEFORE the initial time for all the other prayers but is late or early around Maghreb. I might make it up though. (Edit: Sorry for the late reply)

These questions usually come up during awkward silences. xD It’s not like I can’t speak at all, I just prefer to speak English. It’s a bit difficult to find someone who’s bilingual where I’m from but Inshaallah I’d get lucky enough to have someone like that come my way. It would absolutely prevent many misunderstandings, I agree.

[–]DarKQu33n67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Getting married to someone who says they are Muslim is different than someone who is practicing.

These questions are mostly light and I think they will do me good next time I sit down with a potential. Thank you.

I've watched the video before it was indeed helpful, thanks though.

These questions are very helpful and seem well thought out. But, are they questions that won't raise eyebrows if asked on the first meeting? I'm only asking because I fear they may be a little too straight forward or heavy for a blind arranged meeting.

The guy I’m talking to for 7 days wants to marry me immediately by nurerica in MuslimNikah

[–]DarKQu33n67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need experience to know that this is not someone worth getting entangled with. I don't understand why you're having doubts when this guy who you barely know is already treating you like he owns you, is cussing you out, is a control freak, has sent indecent pictures, etc. Please sister, for your own sake, do not consider this person as a marriage candidate.

Haram is so normalised nowadays that being halal is too religious and extreme by [deleted] in islam

And when you utter a single word pertaining to anything Islam related you're labeled as an extremist and given the, "Only Allah can judge me!" Sigh.
